Why are there so many streamers?
Especially lately. Just about every other match I have has at least one streamer, and they usually play in the most toxic manner available to them. No other game comes to mind that has so many people attempting to stream. What draws this game to them?

dbd is fun to watch so people milk it for views. Its so much fun seing streamer be tilted by dbd and anyone else would take break and play something else for a day, but they suffer through it because they would lose 80% of viewers xD

It's an unusual game that's very fun to stream because nobody knows how each match will play out. That and BHVR has long been encouraging people to stream the game via rewards and events... etc.

Also each game is short and fun enough to provide entertainment even for viewers, I mean hell, I spend a lot of time watching others play it! The interaction between the killer and the survivors leads to fun and unpredictable scenarios that's just fun to watch.

Twitch used to be pretty niche around 2011 through like 2014 I'd say. Maybe a little sooner than 2014 actually. With more attention being brought to it via big media etc the platform has grown a ton, and so has people wanting to stream for a job, or hobby. I'd say a lot of people stream DBD because its a pretty popular game, and streaming as survivor is pretty easy. If you ain't being chased all you do is hold M1 and talk to chat. I mostly see survivors with the @ TTV type names.

DBD has a toxic community, Twitch has a toxic community, therefore DBD streams are usually successful. It's a great place for a streamer to create an echo chamber, and a great place for chat to congregate and stroke the streamer's ego.

The reason you see them being super toxic is because that is what rewards them the most. I don't mean in terms of BP or actual helpful contribution to the match. Being toxic is what was made popular by other streamers and youtubers so that is what set the standard.

If you play non-toxic ways as a survivor you won't gather a lot of views, it won't be that entertaining to watch, you know. For example, look at streamers like Pug or Jendanise, esp. the later one lol.

Really? More streamers than Smite, CS or the... what's it called all the ♥♥♥♥ games where you get thrown off a plane, walk around and rummage through chests for 15m with nothing happening and then die to a sniper bullet. You know all those games that try to be battle royale but fail cos instead of making a real battle royale, they just make a crappy shooter game, that is below even CoD standards.
You know all the poor pathologic kids play them... PUBG etc! That's what it was.
Every PUBG like game is infested with idiots, trolls and every 5th person is a streamer and can perma-ban you within one session of crying and sucking producers ♥♥♥♥ backstage.

I mean let's be honest, streamers are all a cancer and they all want one thing: to go down and suck Gaben's sweaty balls for money, thats the biggest and only dream of every streamer, sucking Gabe's balls dry while he inserts coin into the streamers ass like a slot machine.

But this game actually has a very small ammount and i think the producers are not as susceptible to homoerotic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as for example EA, Paradox or whatever 5th world country company made PUBG.
