As for being non-toxic walking away from a hook for like 40 meters or so then walking back to catch the unhooker is fine
But one time, some high rank player was super toxic in the chat because the killer was camping the exit. there are also two exits.
But some tips, I'm too new to give any unless it involves Freddy
P.S. its impossible to be a non-toxic killer -- no matter what you do -- survivors will wish death upon you
* if someone's giving you a run for your money in catching them, i'd suggest disengaging as lingering too long on one survivor can cause gens to just get repaired while said survivor's being chased for that long.
Well, overall it still depends on people. some will give you ggs, some will give you toxic NaCl.
Feel free to HMU killer main here 1300 hours playtime and about 900 of it on killer. I'd be happy to give you any tips/tricks or advice, welcome to the fog!
1: You will not get banned in the game by behavior alone.
Unless you cheat or use exploits.
Real life dead threats do get you perma banned.
Holding the game hostage might get you a temp ban.
(by forcing the game to never end.. end game timer or bleeding out does not count as the game will end eventually)
2: People being toxic only happens in the post chat.
Do not get sucked into joining the toxicity of survivors in the end chat.
Just say GG and ignore them if they are hostile.
In the rare case they are nice, be nice as well.
Other then that play as you like and ignore anything survivors might complain about.
And complain they will. (its quite sad)
I see you too are a man of culture.
All you've got from me in that case - is leave definitely.
Probably the most important video a new killer will ever watch.
Oh, no) i'm never look into chat.
Toxicity is all about ruing fun for others. If you play GAME, so its intending to play with friends.
No one wanna play with m0ro0ns. With those, who tunneling, camping, flashing, looping. Especially with not-equel ranks. Especially tunneling in very first minute.
Don't say about rules and goals, its just apology
-Camping, which works against them anyway.
-Tunnelling, which is actually a legit strategy but still stigmatized.
To clarify, camping is staying exceptionally close to a hooked survivor to prevent their rescue. You'll earn more recapturing them, and they're instantly sacrificed if rehooked after reaching half "health," so don't worry about that.
Tunnelling is chasing a player who was recently unhooked, instead of the rescuer. They're obviously easier to recapture and sacrifice, but only do this if the person seems to have been deliberately spiteful (so anyone trying to cheese).
Outside of that you can play suboptimal to avoid getting called toxic. But you trade getting called toxic for being called trash.
Suboptimal plays includ leaving a hooked survivor even if you see them running to unhook. Respecting the 4% when a survivor unhook them selves letting the break chase, if they find the end game hatch let them have it. Let the last guy always escape. Never hook the same survivor twice in a row, you can down them but not hook them.
Keep in mind all the above things make your job as a killer way harder
