It isn't just a DBD thing. WoW developers have stated that they don't really have much of an intention to release "World of Warcraft Vanilla" again, yet look what we have coming around (I think) in a few days.

Personally I think putting Alien in the game would be pretty weird, as the way it canonically operates wouldn't fit the pace and as far as I'm aware it thinks like a worker bee with the sole purpose of serving/protecting its queen. Who knows, maybe they could explain it by The Entity somehow tricking it into believing its the queen, or just showing it has no way out. Still wouldn't really fit though, imo.

Predator would fit I think. Predators are smarter and would understand the arrangement, and as a bonus they enjoy the hunt. Win-win.

The Thing would be cool, too. I'd kill for a Thing chapter.

They also said they wouldn't make a Clown Killer, because of phobias and I belive that they also said they would stay away from making relgion themed chapters to avoid discussion about religion etc, yet they brought out the Clown and the Plague

Alien would be ridiculous. A creature incomparably stronger and faster than humans, stunned by flimsy pallets, vaulting windows in a sluggish speed, unable to climb walls? Would do a disservice to both the Alien franchise and dbd.

fictional as in it never existed in history therefore they can cover it without offending/losing money on the targeted sect.

Mortal Kombat is a bad joke story wise and character wise. Dbd still has some remnants of a horror game, and, while Alien is a great horror franchise, with its SPACE horror atmosphere would turn the whole game, well, Upside Down.
