Eh, it really takes a lot of time to get good at the game. I thought I was good when I had 100 hours, but looking back at older clips, I see a lot of mistakes that I never even thought about back then. Even at 500 hours I still played pretty trash.

Probably the things I didn't do understand enough at first was:
- loop as close as possible to the walls
- look at killer constantly during loops
- how to mindgame and how not to be mindgamed

Seriously, record yourself play and I'm sure you'll see tons of missed opportunities or things you could have done better. I also strongly recommend you don't use perks like Dead Hard if you are new to looping because you will build bad habits.

edit: Also understanding which pallets are safe and unsafe is really important, because some pallets you can't loop around without the risk of being hit. Pallets generally spawn in the same location on tiles so over time you will learn which ones are safe.

i know the first 2 points sometimes i forget them when looping but most of the time i dont the third one i dont really understand much

i main clauddete i havent even prestiged her yet and i think dead hard is for little ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

and the safe pallet thing i guess i will just have to learn over time

thanks for the tip on recording myself play the game it sounds like it will help and help me correct myself atleast hopefully

Patience while you learn. I agree I use OBS to record it's free and easy to set up. It helps a lot to see where we made the mistakes. I'm not very good at chases either so i usually play as stealthy as i can. I don't use the meta perks unless you call self care meta, I run empathy, small game, self care and usually lightweight but sometimes switch it out. These perks work for me, It took me some time to find ones i liked that worked with my play style. I love playing my claudette, though i don't play her as much as i would like anymore.

i ussually get away with never being seen once in a game i dont really count that as a actual match because i dont really get fun out of it

its fun to have a killer chase you and just completley bamboozle the killer but im really bad at it and the only option for me currently is to be the boring gen jockey evrey game

even then i still get fked and die 80% of the time

i found some perks i like like self care and botany of course but theirs a few missing ones even when i get them they wont help me not be garbage at distracting the killer so i dont know what to do

I find it difficult to win chases. i honestly am the worst person on advice for them. But when i am stuck in them i find that mind gaming is pretty much the only trick i have. If i can make them think i'm going one way and go another sometimes it allows me to pop behind something and break the chase. I am usually the first to die or the last, rarely do i find myself in the middle. Sprint burst is okay but i find i feel way too slow after those couple of seconds. I find that i have different success rates with different things depending on the survivor ( could be a perk here or there i guess or maybe just a state of mind). Playing with friends makes the game better for me. I don't mind not winning and it's fun to watch them if i die first so i at least get some entertainment.

The game isn't designed for you to get away, it's designed for you to stall.

You wont get away from a good killer.

Stridor counter Iron Will and all your mind games.

Bloodhound pretty much counter Iron Will and mind games, too.

A list of chase perks like Fire Up counter infinite looping.

Insidious + One-Shot power counter Borrowed Time and your chance to escape.

Rancor counter the rest you could do.

Surveillance counter stealth repairs.

Good killer can always secure at least 2 kills. Its kind of balanced, but it mean that killer is 4x easier than survivors, because it require 4 skilled survivors who can hide, loop, hit great skillchecks and navigate around without easting time to win a game vs 1 skilled killer.

I mean unless it's hag/nurse/spirit, you the survivor pretty much determine the length of the chase unless you mess up. Also stridor and bloodhound counter mindgames? What? I mindgame all the time without iron will and make tons of distance mid-chase. Perks don't make a killer good, game sense and map knowledge do.

Also Fire Up doesn't counter anything? Bamboozle can counter certain vaults, but fire up at full potential is only 20% lol.

sounds like you don't look behind while looping that will get you killed fast.

You are burned out go play other games and come back in a week or so

Fast vaults are you're friend, learn the dead zones on each map and avoid them

Ye you won't lose a good killer, the killer will stop wasting time chasing you if he doesn't get you fast enough. Unless you run Dance With Me + Lithe, then you can bamboozle them.

You only have 118 hours, this game demands at least 400 hours before you start to get decent.
