What is the point of shadowborn?

With a perk like monitor and abuse is shadowborn even remotely useful? Was there ever a point for shadowborn other than being blinded easier?

Yeah shadowborn increases the Field Of View, which is Useful, Especially on Wraith. Helps with Huntress Also and Clown

Monitor does the same and also reduces your terror radius.

It's one of those ancient perks that doesn't have much use. Nurse players often use it because you can see stuff during fatigue but I don't think anyone else really needs it.

At the end of the day it comes down to preference between the two. On nurse I always use shadowborn because it allows me to keep the increased FOV during chases and makes it hella lot easier to track people. Especially useful on cornfield maps. But let's say I play thicc boi bubba, then I pick monitor so I can get a little bit closer before people realise what's going on.

well it DOES have a bigger FOV increase tbh and it is AT ALL TIMES unlike M&A

i like shadowborn i use it on billy,nurse,huntress,spirit mainly because i hate the default FOV

i prefer shadowborn over M&A because i hate that transitioning effect when the FOV increases/Decreases with M&A

Its good on Nurse and Huntress, which both need good view. It helps you to keep track of corners and edges in your screen more easily.

Shadowborn is not useless, it's just obsolete since MnA exists which is a better shadowborn

Shadowborn is better to counter windows jukes cos u are in chase so M&A doesn't trigger.
