distressing on ghostface?
I have to do something with map pressure so I think distressing will be a good perk on ghost face.
Your thoughts?

of course I am doing something wrong because I bought him few hours ago!
Yes, you are probably suprised but Im new gf player. Kinda regret buying him, I never did 4k vs good survivors
Well that explains a lot

Don't get too disappointed with yourself because he's not as easy a killer to use, but oftentimes the killers which aren't easy to use become the most effective once you do get a hang of them. The Nurse is notorious for being a difficult to play yet she is without a doubt the best killer in the game, the time put in is very much worth it for what you get out of it.

Here are some pretty basic tips for GhostFace

Getting spotted
Whenever you're getting spotted by a survivor, a white curved indicator will show up on the screen facing the direction that the survivor is spotting you from. Using this information of where the survivor is you can really quickly duck behind cover and crouch to avoid being taken out of Night Shroud. From here (depending on the object you chose) you can lean back around and survivors who are especially overzealous and actively trying to break you out of your power make themselves easy stalk targets, and you can punish them by exposing them.

Even if you don't retaliate by exposing whoever is trying to break you out of night shroud, getting used to constantly ducking out of sight behind some tires or a wall is especially important for GhostFace players. Crouching also reduces your reveal hitbox making it slightly harder to break you out of Night Shroud while doing so,

Using Night Shroud (more than just stalking)
You don't always have to expose survivors using Night shroud sometimes its more beneficial to just walk around the map and get a surprise hit off a survivor, better yet pull them off a generator. Like I said before you can bounce around between survivors using Night Shroud to hide your presence, loop back around and approach where you know they are from a different angle that they don't expect you to be.

Using Night Shroud in Chases
You should also know that even after you've been broken out of Night Shroud, once you get the power back, you can turn it back on in the middle of a chase. This is especially useful for survivors who 1. are not paying attention and focusing purely on making it to the next window or pallet, etc. or 2. If you have a survivor stalked practically at 90% then really quick turning on Night Shroud, and straight up stalking them out in the open for that last 10% required to expose them can net you a really easy down especially in a dead zone, near unsafe pallets, or you're simply right behind them and can easily stalk for a quick second hit them down.

Turning on Night Shroud in the middle of a chase is also very useful for mindgames especially around jungle gyms that have high walls, in these areas survivors will be more likely to rely more and more on the red stain to determine where in the jungle gym you are / which direction you're coming from. With this not a factor while using night shroud, you can effectively get an easy down for a survivor who's just not paying attention well enough.

A really good example of this is a survivor standing under a pallet, and you turn to walk around, really quickly turn on night shroud, backtrack, and immediately start a lunge that catches a survivor off guard from the exact direction that they thought you had given up approaching because you didn't have a red stain as soon as you activated night shroud.

Resources
I could go on for longer, but it might be more helpful for you to look up some other in depth guides / "tips and tricks" videos which can help you out a bit more. Keep in mind the date of some of these videos, since a few might be out of date because they were created when Ghostface was released (he was reworked / buffed shortly after his release, so some information in these videos may be out of date).

I can link one specific video that I know for a fact has a lot of very useful insight on how Ghostface and his power Night Shroud actually work specifically. It's more informational to understand how he works as a killer and how his power functions (it's a lot more complicated than you might think actually, especially how he is detected) but he does suggest a few perk builds for new players as well as some tips for general gameplay. (He does this little intro bit that kinda drags on, so if you want to just dive into the information skip to 0:45)

The best part about it is that this video was uploaded last week, so you know that it is using the most recent, current, up-to-date information.

How does bigger terror radius on a stealth killer help you with map pressure? Stuff like that only works on rank 20s who sprint burst away the second they hear the heartbeat
Dreadlok Aug 29, 2019 @ 1:16pm
From my experience, unless you can mark and down a survivor or two early on, your best bet is to play the long game. Use perks that can't be removed early and affect survivors throughout the match.
To answer the question, I would only recommend Distressing if you are using another perk that would benefit from the added radius.

heartbeat is last thing that keeps pressure, especially on weak killers
Gf has no map pressure and you just cant deal with it.

Meh, im sure there are better perks for him. Distressing is almost exclusive for good old doc.

But it doesn't? I have yet to hear a killer say that terror radius has anything to do with keeping pressure unless talking about the doctor.

look
low TR = genrush because survivors are "safe"
width TR = survivors know you're there so they'll be more careful

Survivors with 2 brain cells will keep doing gens if they hear a faint heartbeat, even more if they know it is a gf meaning if you hear him he cant one shot you.

Short answer is no. Ghostface's entire purpose is to be a stealth killer so why would you want a bigger terror radius?

he cant even pressure survivors enough to keep them off gens lmao

and it doesnt matter If I have 32 meters or 0 meters because as soon as I use my ability, somebody had to follow me and cancel it :(

I feel like GF is points farm for survivors, every time you cancel his ability, you get 500 BP

A much better GF build:
-Monitor and Abuse, not for increased TR, but for DECREASED TF
-Whispers

Now these 2 work like this: you will know when you get close to survivors to activate your ability, and be more careful, so you don't bump into them accidentally. And M&A helps so survivors won't know you are there. This way your ability won't get cancelled immediately.

Now the other 2 perks can be: Hex: Ruin, which is map pressure, not your TR, Pop goes the Weasel, which again is map pressure unlike TR, Corrupt Intervention that is one of the best map pressure perks, especially combined with Hex: Ruin, or something similar.

Or some information perks like Discordance so you know which gen is getting rushed, also you can expose 2 survivors at once.

EDIT: M&A is a doctor perk. Hex: Ruin is in Shrine of Secrets I believe, but it's a Hag perk, Pop is Clown perk, Corrupt Intervention is Plague perk (she has 3 amazing perks BTW), and Discordance is Legion perk. These perks are really useful for most killers, so work with them, or just try to make your own build. But map pressure doesn't work like you think it works. Terror Radius won't affect good survivors. They will use their eyes not just their ears. Pressuring is done by destroying gens, blocking them, killing survivors, slowing them down in any way. If they have to heal, they won't do gens. If they have to hunt Ruin, they will not repair gens. Terror Radius can only pressure survivors if you use perks like Unnerving Presence or Overwhelming Presence.

Anytime

If you're really looking to capitalize and take full advantage of Ghostface's stealth capabilities, I would also suggest an ultra stealth build: IE

Tinkerer, Monitor & Abuse, Furtive Chase, and Dark Devotion.

It's a completely unnecessary build considering the fact his power already reduces his TR to zero, so I suppose you could consider it more of a meme build than an actual competitive one, and I'll be completely honest when I say I have yet to try this myself, however it looks like it could be a lot of fun to use if you're ever looking for something just to switch things up.
