I'm sometimes the obsession even tho the killer or I do not run any perks or addons that would make me the obs when everyone else as DS.
It's really just a fancy way of saying one survivor is "it".
some perks speed you up by chasing your obsession and letting them escape, some the obsession has to die last or you lose your perk effectiveness. you do get extra points escaping as the obsession, so I am assuming you get a little more by killing them as well.
After researching a bit more, that SHOULD be the case, whether it is or not, idk.
It would make sense for the killer to get extra bloodpoints for focusing the obsession, since the survivors could use an obsession perk without the killer taking any advantage of it if the killer doesn't have an obsession perk.
Some survivor obsession perks allow the killer to utilize, but usually not.
