1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86) and delete the folder EasyAntiCheat
2. Next navigate to your Dead By Daylight's EAC folder, located by default at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight\EasyAntiCheat and run the file EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe as Admin
3. Make sure Dead By Daylight is selected (it should be automatically) and then click the Repair Service button and once it has completed you can close the setup program.
4. Try playing Dead By Daylight, making sure to run it from your steam library, not from a shortcut or by manually trying to start it
i did it worked
i swear if this happens again for no frickin reason ill unistall and never play it again
I tried doing what you said, didn't end up working... any other ideas?
Try deleting all of 3 these EAC folders located here:
C:\Program Files(x86)
C:\Users\UserNameGoesHere\AppData\Roaming
~Steam\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight
Then clear Steam Cache (steam-->settings-->downloads-->clear download cache)
Open a command prompt as Admin and enter: netsh winsock reset
Then enter: ipconfig /flushdns
Reboot your system.
Then use Steam to verify game file integrity (steam-->library-->Dead By Daylight-->Properties-->local files-->Verify integrity of game files) so it replaces the EAC files.
Try starting the game.
