**RESOLVED** "In order to access this content, a network connection is required."
ISSUE:
- When I launch DBD, I press Space to continue, the game shows "Checking Platform Services", then "Connecting to Servers", then displays the error in the title. I would post a screenshot, but I don't see an option anywhere.

TROUBLESHOOTING SO FAR:
- Logged off and back onto Steam
- Launched DBD and confirmed I'm on the latest Patch (3.2.0)
- Rebooted my computer
- Opened DBD Properties and ran "Verify Integrity of Game Files". Afterwards, got message "All files successfully validated."
- Temporarily disabled my firewall
- Confirmed a couple friends are currently playing DBD with no issues
- Played other online games on steam for a couple hours to see if the issue would resolve itself.
- Reinstalled the game
- Created a new Steam account, enabled Family Sharing, and successfully launched and connected to their servers.

Please help, I just want to play the new Stranger Things DLC!

**RESOLUTION**
I just relaunched the game and it just started working. I think the issue was on BHVR's end.

I was playing the game few moments ago. Then it crashed and after that servers stoped respowning for me at least.
The problem is still there. Maybe they are updating something.

SOLUTION (At least for me). Okay guys, I logged out of Steam and back in and rebooted DbD, and it fixed it, once.. then I decided to close DbD and buy todays new Stranger Things DLC, and over and over the game kept telling I didn't have internet.. But I do.

So, here is what I did that fixed this problem...

GO TO DEAD BY DAYLIGHT UNDER YOUR LIBRARY ON THE LEFT SIDE, CLICK PROPERTIES AT THE BOTTOM. A WINDOW WILL POP UP, CLICK THE "LOCAL FILES" TAB AT THE TOP, THEN CLICK THE VERIFY INTEGRITY BUTTON TO VERIFY YOUR GAME FILES.. THIS WILL TAKE A FEW MINUTES, LET IT COMPLETE.. DO NOT CANCEL IT.. THAT SHOULD FIX THIS PROBLEM. HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE! =)

Try reconnecting your WiFi/Ethernet at your pc, also check to see if dbd isn’t blocked on your firewall

Ha, okay so I just got this to work, but only by creating a new Steam account. I'm still getting the same error on my regular steam account. I actually created a brand new Steam account, enabled Family Sharing, launched DBD with my new Steam account and I was able to get in. I then signed out of Steam and signed back in with my regular Steam account and the issue reappeared.

I also reinstalled the game, and I'm still getting the same error.

Thanks @Zaxtor99™, but if you look at TROUBLESHOOTING SO FAR, it's the first thing I tried.

@S0NU Thanks but no luck for either of those. If you look at TROUBLESHOOTING SO FAR, the 5th thing I have listed there shows I actually completely disabled my firewall.

The servers just seem to be down for a lot of people, there's nothing we can do expect wait.

@ExpressingHate If the servers are down, then how are there currently people in-game? As I said in the original post I have friends who are playing online right now. Also if I log into this new Steam account I just created, I can connect to their servers. But, you know, it's a new Steam account so I don't have all the perks and ♥♥♥♥ I unlocked.

I just found out about this as well and I didn't read your comment. I just got in so I'll tell you what worked for me.

I restarted steam then launched dbd and just waited for it to load, if you get the message saying you can't get into the game servers restart steam and do it over and over.
