You shouldn't get unhooked in front of the killer.
The only solution to counter this isn't to punish the killer, but rather to punish the survivor doing so. Some people suggested a button to reject the unhooking for example.
I advise you to get better at stealth gameplay and forsake the other players in the trial. At least if you die that way it will usually be on you.
Have fun in the fog.
Yes. I don't get mad at the killer for swatting me right away if my teammates unhook me right in front of him.
I get pissed at my teammates for making a bad decision.
Currently saving a teammate off a hook has a relatively low risk involved with it even when the Killer is right there, which is exactly why people keep doing it.
Faking the save is immensely easy, and about 90% of the time any attempt from the Killer to grab just results in a swing instead. I get this even as the Doctor... even while in Treatment mode, where he is (supposedly) physically unable to swing.
So might as well not bother with trying to interrupt the save. Hitting the saved person works 100% of the time as long as there isn't a third teammate performing some sort of a bodyblock by abusing the fact that they can phase inside the hooked person and that the Killer can't choose who to hit due to the autoaim being all over the place.
Survivors have enough immunities and free escapes as is, and every additional tool doing this just pushes more and more Killers over the edge and away from the game, and those that stay just begin playing more and more scummy. Punishing Killers for a problem that basically stems from survivors being dumb/selfish will do absolutely no favors for anyone in the long run.
Unfortunately that’s the survivor meta in a nutshell. Survivors are so used to getting away with making stupid mistakes thanks to crutch perks, they don’t even care anymore if they make a mistake.
They are so used to being able to just balls out run in front of a killers face and basically say “F you!” thanks to Pallet Looping being ultra safe.
Survivor play is being rewarded for making stupid decisions anymore.
+1
No, OP is complaining that when his team mates unhook him right in front of the killers face, he doesn’t get an invulnerability for 5 seconds to be able to try to get away.
Instead of blaming his team mates for stupidly unhooking him in front of the Killer without BT, he wants 5 second invincibility.
You are not entitled to survive. Especially when your teammates trade your life for some points
