Builds for different playstyles!
Hi everyone, I have alot of hours in DBD and a decent amount of exp.

I composed a small list of build for a few playstyles if it helps, I actually use some of these myself.

#1 "Medic" Build

Perks: Self Care 3, Empathy 3, Hope 3, No-one left behind 3

Summary: This build is composed for people primarily concerned with defense and Altruism.
You may notice there is no DS in this composition. You can equip it and sacrifice one of these perks. The build does differ slightly on preference.

However, what you lack in escaping once caught, you compensate in Healing, Unhooking, and Saving quicker once exit gates are opened. You also gain extra speed for a short time to do these actions due to Hope.

This Build is for the Playstyle of people who like to Help others, and it also encourages smart thinking and hiding.

#2 "Fox" Build

Perks: Quick and Quiet 3, Slippery meat 3, Spine chill 3, and Sprint Burst/DS 3.

Summary: This build is particularly aimed at people more on the stealth side of gameplay. Those who are patient enough to wait out the killer and sometimes(from experience) they outlast everyone else. Quick and Quiet allows you to vault object with less detection, Slippery meat increases odds of escaping more so traps and sometimes hooks. You may have noticed I chose Spine Chill instead of Premonition. This is because with premonition you have only a few seconds before you hear the music, pretty much rendering it useless. Spinchill 3 proves to be more effective because you have a more accurate reading of where the killer is and if he's coming to you. Not allowing you to panic unnecessarily and also getting a boost when completing a task. Sprint Burst is great for Evading, or you can use DS.

I will post more later. But hopefully my builds will help some people. Each has a weakness and a strength but the strength will compensate for the weakness.

My favorite build is sprint burst, self-care, botany knowledge and we'll make it. It's aimed at surviving as long as possible, tanking hits for your teammates (then healing up) and saving hooked people (we'll make it works wonders when saving from the basement).

Also I like the "ninja" build: lightweight, iron will, premonition (to run away from the killer and not in his face when he comes), self-care / bond (whatever you personally like more).

Here is another build for you all:

"Solo" Build

Perks: Sole Survivor 3, Self care 3, Decisive Strike 3, and Quick and Quiet 3

This build is for players who are fairly experienced and are independent, Sole Survivor makes it harder for the killer to find you, Self care allows healing without a teammate, DS allows a One time chance to escape killers grasp, and Quick and Quiet encourages more hiding. (Note: You can also interchange one of these perks for Sprint Burst)

Can I suggest one I see on almost every high ranked Survivor these days?

Coward's Combo

Perks: Self-Care, Sprint Burst, Decisive Strike, Adrenaline

Summary: This build guarantees you as many "Get out of Jail"-cards as is possible in the game. Killer hits you? No problem, Sprint Burst to the next pallet town and then heal yourself, rinse and repeat. The Killer downs you? No problem, give him a jab in the ribs and start the chasing all over again. And in the end, when all the gens are done, heal instantly from any injury and dash to the exit gate at lightning speed where you can additionally teabag the ♥♥♥♥ out of the Killer.

Inb4: No, I'm not a salty Killer main, I play Survivor as well, but I don't use that perk build and don't see the point of it either. If you have to rely on this many crutches to be successful in escaping, you're not good at playing this game.

I would just love to see some more perk diversity, it's much more fun.

Tbh I don't like the name, however I can see if it can be annoying. But lets keep this thread positive, this is about Providing Builds to survivors which help them and also encourages diversity like you mentioned.

I doubt that there will be many Survivors wanting to change their perk loadout because of this thread, but for newbies it could be nice to have an idea.

I disagree. My aim isn't to have survivors change their loadout, it's to grant them alternatives to playing because even for survivors playing the same meta can get boring. At least the builds i'm suggesting encourage diversity and teamwork as well as encouraging different playstyles.

I would love to see survivors run anything else than the high rank triangle of sprint burst -> Self Care -> Decisive strike.

I personally would love to try Ace in the hole, plunderer's instinct, Bond or Empathy and Well make it.

I guess i'll post my build.
The Escape Artist: Self-Care, Iron Will, Quick & Quiet, and Lightweight.
This one is used for distracting the killer, and losing him. If you get hit, SC and IW have your back.
