Why is it called a Kobe?
Like apparently a streamer says it but why? What's the reference?

For those who commented on this thread just 9 hours ago. This post was created in December LAST YEAR. Also, I always knew what the KOBE was, I just never knew WHY they started calling it a KOBE.

It's just a meme. Mostly picked up when mediocre people used to throw paper in the trash can at their job and yell Kobe. Then gamers picked it up and started using it whenever they did remarkable stuff like lob grenades from long distances and kill people and such.

It just denotes doing something spectacular in the heat of the moment.

Anyone realized that it's the sound of a helicopter on the survivor's 3rd hook?
So off the hook means off the helicopter?
Thought it was mean to say that until I found that they call it "Kobe" way earlier.
