Account Reset- Buy all Dlcs- where is the fairness?

It's more about the balance of free and paid content. Free content exists because paid content exists. The developers work hard and deserve to be rewarded for their work.


And when they fix "account reset Issu"? Hard work? One girl spend 350 hours ingame- bought all DLCs that she can play- and now: Account resetet- AFTER BUYING DLC. So- what is wrong?

Well since like 2 days ago there is this bug or whatever around that you start your game or after a match all of a sudden your account is reset, no bloodpoints, survivor level 0 etc.
It happend to me to, luckily I had a backup from 2 weeks ago, but if not you are f*cked...

The devs are aware of save files being corrupted.
In their last stream they advised everyone to back up their files and it´s not a banable offensive.
They also said that just a small amount of players have that issue and they´re trying to solve it.
Btw please stop spamming the discussions with the same problem over and over again.
Well at least you got my attention, but atm you can´t get it back as far as I know.
She should message the devs via their Email and explain her problem.

Devs work hard- i read in other threads. But i read since 4-5 month: Account reset- account reset in forums. I had one moment the same (i can fixed iam lucky after 1200h ingame) but i deactivate steamcloud- restartDBD and activate steamcloud. All is great.

My girlfriend unlucky- she lost all progress.



It is a MAJORproblem of the game- the game cant read own savegame... Sometimes devs can say"steamcloud synchronisation is fault" . But what they did for it?

Now my girlfriend lost 350h ingameprogress... is sad.


If devs get so many money- from dlcs, selling this game. Why goddmaned they dont fix a trivial and important feature like savegame?

Simcity is 25 years old- and u can save- without problems.

Is sad :(

And my little girl is really sad- she buy dlc- want to paly. Account resetet.

Hart aber herzlich dazu stehe ich auch als Berliner- aber das? naja. Mal sehen wenn jemand mit elan und freude dieses Spiel spielt weil es sie fesselt und jeder erfolg sie echt ein Stück glücklich macht- jeder fortschritt- dann sowas. naja brauche ja nicht zu fragen wie Du mit Deinen fast 500h reagieren würdest. Würdest dann auch sagen scheiss drauf- von Deiner reaktion her.

Just give your girlfriend your save file. We don't have to back up our save files, they have to do it for us, what are we paying our money for? They don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the community.

Ich war so schlau und habe mehrere Backup files.
Sollte man bei jedem Spiel machen, dass einem am Herzen liegt und wer eben nicht auf die schlaue Idee kommt.. well rip.
Wenn ich mit meinen 500 Std. meinen Fortschritt verlieren würde, würde es mir nix ausmachen dank meinen Backups lol.
Davon mal abgesehen, es macht doch auch Spaß nochmal alles neu zu grinden ^^
Eine Sache noch, um mich nochmal in Punkto Nettigkeit besonders gut auszudrücken: Bitte schreib keine englischen Kommentare mehr XD
Arbeite bitte noch an deinem Englisch, meines ist selbstverständlich auch nicht perfekt, aber bei dir fällt es mir unheimlich schwer überhaupt herauszufinden, was du willst.

Just give your girlfriend your save file. We don't have to back up our save files, they have to do it for us, what are we paying our money for? They don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about the community.

Well technically yes.
But I believe that we´re all aware of the devs not being the most skilled devs in the gaming history.
Still, I do appreciate their effort and I know how hard it is to make an actual game and I wasn´t even close to create such a game.
I think they do care, but they have a lot of problems and they don´t know how to fix certain things.
If you´re so salty about the devs not giving a ♥♥♥♥ then you could just uninstall the game or wait some months and return to see whether the devs now give a ♥♥♥♥ or not.
Just my two cents though.

Close to create such a game? You can't create it by yourself, you know anything about programming and game developing? :D Anyway, the save file is the most important thing for every player. If your player loses it he is pretty much done for the game.

Close to create such a game? You can't create it by yourself, you know anything about programming and game developing? :D Anyway, the save file is the most important thing for every player. If your player loses it he is pretty much done for the game.

If you would be able to read a proper sentence then you would´ve noticed the wasn´t before the close to create such a game.
Besides e.g Yandere Dev is developing his game by himself when it comes to the coding.
So yeah some people are able to create a game by their own, it just takes a lot of time.
I agree, but still there are options to prevent a permanent save file lost.
If you don´t want to backup, not my problem.
I do until it´s fixed.
If you can´t wait then I advise you to stop playing because a save file lost could happen any time.

Meinste nicht das es traurig ist per Hand back ups zu machen? Ist es nicht traurig wie in Deinem fall alles per hand zu machen (so wie Du Dich aufführst denke ich das es immer so ist sozialkompetenzen ge).
Welchen aderen games backups machen? ich spiele seit 25 Jahren pc games- bei keinem- auch nicht konsolengames- ist jemals der Spielfortschritt gelöscht/geressetet worden xD Traurig xD Aber wahr. Weiss nicht mit was für... *hust* Qualitätsprodukten Du Dcih abgibst das Du aus Prinzip sowas machst- magst es per hand wa? Oder Gewöhnungs sache^^

I am studying computer science, so don't talk about anything like that. You can create game like this on your own. You wrote - I wasn´t even close to create such a game. - so you were trying to create a game like this? On your own? Nice try :DDDD

The one thing I dont understand is why the dont store the progress of the players on their servers (like everyone else in the online game industry) ? So it wouldnt be possible to "cheat" with editing your save file. That way if there was a bug they could reroll to a back up of their own and not the players would have to do all the work.
