Her low movement speed makes it difficult to catch people, especially in high level games where pallet looping is common. This only encourages The Hag to camp the people she hooks.
You pretty much have to camp the people you hook, and you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fool if you don't. It has nothing to do with your ability as a player, its just the smart thing to do if you want to get points.
You'll almost never land your teleport attack, unless its during a hook save. The 1-2 second "stun" after teleporting kills any potential for getting those hits in. The window of opportunity is so short that you lose it before you can close the distance.
She has perks that compel you to let survivors save each other from hooks, yet her entire design/kit is designed around camping.
Her only saving grace is that she seems to be somewhat immune to Decisive Strike and the stun effect of losing your grip on a survivor, which are obviously bugs.
just stop run permanently through windows, or she will cough you . . . .
AND, she doesnt have imunity to stun, it's a bug, pallets / struggle / and DS doesnt work at the moment !
OMG 100% agree
good pallet loopers are such a pain, You then have to eat the stun because if they fake it and dont drop it they get another 2 laps. Gens will go up like crazy before you can eat more than a handfull of pallets.
My tactics for Hag have been to focus on a single area and get like 8 traps down. If you multi trap each pallet you can often force a drop a lot faster, but if you venture out onto the map where you dont have traps you get screwed.
And of course... she is kind of camper centric. Ive never really been a hook camper but you kind of have to on her. Survivor better have a flashlight if they wanna save.
when the hag places a trap infront of a hook and someone comes and takes the person off the hook the hag can teleport to the hook and pull them off while they are trying to save and get them immediately on their shoulder . thats not fair for survivors .
then the fact that she gets 10 traps that refresh when triggered??? the trapper has to go find his traps and on top of that the trappers traps can be perm destroyed .
doesn't seem right that the hag doesn't have a counter . and dont come and say flashlights are the counter because when in the lobby u wont know what killer you are going against so u cant know if u need to bring a flash light , then ontop of that its not like you are guaranteed a flash light in the chests in game , so yeah , flash lights are definitely a "counter"
counters should be choices not guess's
No need for your huge list of "things to do", all you have to do is pallet loops and you don't have to worry for a split second about her traps, since even if she teleports she can't do anything for 2 seconds, with her reduced movement speed it makes doing pallet loops against her even easier than it is against the wraith.
Also, the teleport actually stuns her momentarily.
So unless the survivor is slow at unhooking, there's simply no way she'll be out of the stun in time to grab them off the hook. She'll be out in time to hit them yes, but not grab them. And if the survivor is being slow about unhooking, that is their fault.
On top of that it is extremely STUPID to unhook someone when you've just triggered a trap anyway... So that is also the survivor's fault if they do that.
so it makes the flashlight useful?
i'd rather be able to throw it to stun than turn it on
but that's just me
so what your saying is there is no real counter to the hag because 99.9% of the time when a trap goes off infront of a hook the hag goes to it and places another trap infront of the hook again .
so if you are not guaranteed a flashlight , if your hooked , your dead .
and lets be real the delay isn't high enough for someone to be far enough away that they cant be caught because almost always like i said when a trap goes off in front of a hook they go immediately , and on top of that the traps point you into the direction the person ran . so its quite easy to catch someone .
and how the hell are pallet drops a counter to the hag , im pretty sure pallet drops counter everyone??????
The hag requires a different method of dealing with her, that's it. One person triggers the trap and runs, another unhooks. Or the first person swings back around and unhooks... Instead of unhooking immediately.
If a Hag stops to replace a trap EVERY time before chasing, she's camping the hook and clearly not doing anything else. Any killer can do this. At which point you should be smart enough to realise this and go get generators... She can't catch you AND catch someone triggering traps at the hook at the same time. Its impossible and you know it.
Her teleport has limits, stop acting like it doesn't. It has a limited range, it stuns her, the trap doesn't give her forever to teleport once triggered. Most of the time when I pop one I'll wait until she actually teleports before doing anything. For every time I have taken a hit for doing that when she has teleported, there are many more times where she hasn't teleported at all.
But you apparently want to be able to do whatever you want and never have to use items, risk being hit, risk being caught, change tactics, etc.
Long story short... You've only got yourself to blame.
2) No you are not. You are slower.
3) It doesnt work. Even if you see the trap, which is pretty much impossible, it wont work, because its bugged.
4) Nope. She will just stay back and redo the trap. Flashlighting her illusion where she might appear, might work. But you need a good flashlight for that to be long enough to unhook. But if she put down more than one trap, thats a stretch.
5) Gotta find it first. Also not all hags are running those hexes. Shes pretty good without them too.
