Do you play with a headset? If so, then yes it's a really good perk. It's nearly impossible to lose a victim once you've injured them, you'll hear them moaning from half a mile away. You'll also hear them running from the other sides of obstacles. Their breathing and footsteps are so much loader you'll find victims that you normally wouldn't.

You can also hear them healing from the other side of a building like mothers house or ironworks, big buildings. It's nearly as good as nurses calling.

I use it on The Shape since victims are always trying to break LoS, this can give you pin point accurate information for where they're hiding.

However, I must warn you, it punishes hard camping. The one on the hook is so loud it's hard to hear anything else going on around you.

No.
The problem is stridor doesn't do what it says it does. It doesn't increase the volume of breathing and pain sounds. All it does is increase the range at which you hear them. Basically like a deerstalker for sound. So if you're heavily reliant on sound and used to the normal range where you hear pain noises, it can mess you up.

I ran Stridor 3 for a long time when getting into the killer side, and I have to say no. At first it was great, but then I noticed it was becoming useless. As my rank went up, so did the amount of people running Iron Will. It started to not help with hunting in way too many games.

Since Stridor and Whispers are usually compared I put that on to try one frusturated day after realizing Stridor didn't help at all in like 4-5 games in a row. I have not looked back. I had replaced my Stridor 3 for Whispers 2 and I noticed a very nice effect right away with Nurse. I could just check out an area and immediately move knowing no one was in that part of the level. People with Iron Will are dealt with the same way, but I can get started faster finding them in the first place.

EDIT: To be fair the gamepedia says the Iron Will should have meant they were still 50% louder, but I couldn't really notice it in practise.

To me, Stridor is one of the very best perks in this game, especially for Nurse.
It makes it much easier, to locate hiding or injured survivors.

For me, it`s a must have, especially now, after the devs made silly changes to the sound system!

I like it. It counters Iron WIll and sometimes I even hear people in closets very clear/from afar.
Also random breathing, it's easier to hear.
But I guess it's just a personal taste =)
