How to replace your safe file with your backup?

I have now lost my save file for the first time for reconnecting to my internet while the game was running.

I am not sure if i backed up my save right, i went to userdata and copied the 381210 folder to another location. If that was it then how do i replace it with my backup so i can retrieve my data? Do i just copy it into userdata again or how does it work.

Just in case i did it wrong:

Was the manual copy backup made before you 'loss your total progress'.
If its a backup.
Just copy back the file to its original location, and you should get back your levels of the time you made 'save'.

Hey wolf. You have to take the ProfileSaves+FullProfile in the remote folder in the 381210 that you saved somewhere else and just copy it in the remote folder in the 381210 again.

Do i have to quit Steam for this?

Just out of the DbD game.
Steam doesn't affect loading your savefiles.

Thanks for your help. I was copy pasting the entire folder and it didnt work so i got kind of scared but when i copied remote and profile saves it worked. Phew.

Luckily i only lost 2 levels and 50 shards

I also got a free rank reset and i am actually happy about that.

The profilesaves folder its exclusive dead by daylight save data or it takes all games in steam?

You should be looking at 381210 folder for DbD save data.
Just save the entire folder, or simply the profile .profjce file at the very end.
