As many as they want until this game dies and pretty soon they are going to slow down the chapters so we have time to catch up.

there are games that have been monthly subscription based that are well over ten years old and show no sign of stopping. As long as DbD has players that log on every night and people buy the DLCs hopefully the game will last for 10+ years too. Its a wonderful game, despite any negative sides, its super fun and I hope it lives long.

sooooo.....

they could have 20 killers and people will still be asking what is the next one.

There would still be a Pennywise/Freddy krueger thread the next day after they launched #20.

Or rage quit the lobby and cry bc they swf or 4 flashlights ;)
Rainbow six siege wasn't huge until season 2, perhaps this game will have an incredible change to the gameplay that will make it balanced and fun for everyone rather than one or the other. Who knows? We'll see sOoN.

Games like this don't last more than 2 years under the paid model. It's best to enjoy it now and look at the future with nonchalant glasses.
If it gets better, oh well keep on playing or move on.
If it gets worse, oh well keep on playing or move on.

Haven't seen many asymmetrical horror titles. Can't say for sure. Although it does have competition coming this year Last Year.

We can only speculate but I think DBD will live on even after last year. People who enjoy being chased will probably enjoy this game more since last year seems more slow pace and stealth focused

A significant amount of the killers in this game don't enjoy the one sided chases and may turn to that game. There's definitely room for improvements before we can say for sure if this game will be dead by next year.
