Nah, it's the broken matchmaking. I'm from asia and I still get people from Africa or Meritius who has 2k ping.
Yeah, I figured that was part of the reason but my lobbies get filled up really quickly strangely enough.
its just broken matchmaking. we had this issue since forever now. everyone knows about it.
vpn users connect to Los Angeles region in every game from PUBG to DbD and its done so you cant hit them and they climb rank.
same in DbD you cant hit them they teleport all over the map like a wizard
living in Cali you get used to it since NA/LA seems to be one of the most popular network regions, when I first started playing I was getting 2-3 japan/china users every other game. Its gotten better but still not 100% fixed
I suggested in the past that the game would allow us as survivors (or killers) to put a ping threshold. i.e.: don't join me in a lobby if the ping is higher than 150.
Since I will quit any lobby with ping higher than 150 ping, this is nothing more than a Quality of Life improvement, since I won't have to quit lobbies sometimes 10 times in a row until I find a good one. It's not like that I would give up on my 3rd or 7th attempt and go like "oh dang I guess I will play in this 350 ping game".
Yeah, that would definitely save time and cut down on the frustration. The ping needs to be decent in order for a fair game on both sides. Sure gets annoying having to leave lobbies multiple times in a row just to avoid bad ping, like you said - we're not just gonna be like "oh let's do it anyway".
