Does DBD take forever to update for anyone else?

109MB update, 20 minutes and still going. No other game in my library takes this long.

This last update took about five minutes but most updates are slow for me.

I was just wondering the same thing. Mine is being really weird and saying it's gonna take 45 days to update? Not sure what's up with that.

Won't Update for me, So I unistalled the game to just re-download the game complete with the update, now I can't download the game. It gets to 6.0 Gb downloaded (which is the complete file size) but it just won't finish, have been trying now for 90 minutes.

Of all the little glitches and gaffs with this game, the patching is the single one thing that pisses me off more than anything. Never seen such small files take so much time, or in this case, not work at all.

Not as slow as payday 2 updates but the preallocating part does take a few minutes for me.

I was under the impression Steam handled downloads for every game, but DBD's special case of being slow makes me wonder if there are some other servers handling it. Or maybe something in DBD's code itself makes downloading and installing cumbersome.

Its your HDD that is making the update slower OP. 1/4 of the update is downloading the files then 3/4 is just moving/installing the files.

They should work on it then, something is clearly wrong. It should never take 20 minutes for a 109mb update.

My dbd updates take significantly longer than my other games so you aren’t alone

Took about 6 minutes downloading process, but installing is a breeze.
