What is gen tapping ?

I quite often nip to a gen and get it started then move onto the next if I can see 1, just to get a few started, especially if I make an arse of the skill check...

Is that gen tapping ?

gen tapping is when you start and stop working on a single gen over and over. it's an exploit(?) to work around the ruin perk as you won't trigger skill checks that way.

I think (i could be totally wrong) that its spamming the M1 button instead if holding it at a gen so skill checks don't show up, it takes forever to do it this way though

It is a bit slower but you avoid the Hex Ruin skill checks. It's great for when you don't spawn in front of the killers Hex totem.

i play against 3 russian , i watching them fron distance , the tap tap generator to evade skill check , they complete 4generators without single gen blow { with RUIN active }

Its also a more silent way of doing gens if the killer is close (chasing someone else) and you dont want to be heard.

Doing squats in front of a gen. Need strong legs to run away from the killer.
