How should I play against the Shape?

I need some advice and tips (what perks to use) against him. When the game was new and there were only 3 killers I was suffering against the Wraith then I have learnt how to play against him the perk of Premonition mainly ruins the Wraith. But against the Shape it is total useless... he is the most annoying killer for me now. I didn't play the game so long I don't know the new meta and best builds also I will just buy the DLCs to try the killers by myself so I don't know many things.

He's one of the easiest killers to handle if you don't have stupid team mates. Just look around your survivor while fixing a gen, because Myers is pretty much useless on tier 1 evil within. Don't let him load up the EW, and you're in the clear. He's actually slower than the survivors in EW 1, cause you know, Sprint Burst.

Not everyone has SB. I don't. I dont have BT, or DS, even though I have the DLC. Not bc its cheap. Cuz the Dev has 1 person answering emails :x

Premonition works against Myers, unless he's still in Evil Within 1. When in Evil Within 1, he is very easy to avoid as he is very slow.

When the trial starts, assume by default it is a Myers or Wraith and be very paranoid about your environment. Try to be in a place where you can see the killer from very far to avoid being grabbed at the gen.

When in a chase, avoid running in open areas, try to run in jungle gyms (with true walls) or between trees to prevent him to stalk you. Myers weakness is that he wastes time trying to build his Evil Within, so make it harder for him.

Fairly simple, shape equals hiding from obvious linie of sight areas. He's wasting so much time trying to stare around fairly small objects in order to be lucky and find a survivor, he works mainly on obvious line of sight power gaining, refuse him that much and gg.


Whatever you do, don't run any perks like premonition or spine chill and that type of ♥♥♥♥, i can guarantee you that you'll end up as a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ survivor afraid to ever move once premunition goes off and causes you to ♥♥♥♥ yourself lol (or causes you to run away which is a obvious death sentence)

The Shape, after all, is a killer with no "effective" power, just enhanced stats.
At the start of the game, if you think you'll be against a Shape, look very often around and behind you. Shape players love to use his low Terror Radius to grab survivors off gens. Also, try not to let him get to EW 2 II too quickly, looking around or hearing the sound he makes when about to tier up.
When he's EW II, ABSOLUTELY do not let him stalk too much, because a one hit KO is not really gonna help you escape. For the rest, do not try to window loop him too much (increased window vault speed) and hide as soon as you hera his Heart Beat, because his Terror Radius is still smaller than others (without counting add-ons or perks).
If he gets to EW III possibly do not vault too many windows (he's almost survivor speed when vaulting) and try to waste as much time as possible with pallets. Also, if he went EW III after a very long time, it probably means that he's got a longer period of time, infinite or instant mori EW III, so pay attention.
This is pretty much it. I hope it helps.

You wait 1 minute (or more if he uses addons).

If he has infinite Evil Within 3, then stealth is the only counter to him.

Hide behind objects so he can't stalk you, it's your fault if you allow him to stalk you till tier 3 evil within. If you see him slow down during chases, that means he's stalking so hide behind an object and don't feed him.
