I'd assume editing your save file is, but reloading a backup certainly isn't.

They even say to back up and replace your save file in the event of a wipe, so no. That is not bannable.

Unless you can put it back EXACTLY the way it was I wouldn't risk it bud. Just submit an email to them and back it up from now on.

Using a save file is cheating, you will most likely get banned for this.

If you lost your save data, using a backup save shouldn't be an issue. There is a risk with EAC but its advertised by mods as a solution to the issue so I wouldn't worry too much.

If you're just backing up the file and didn't alter it in any way, you would be fine.

But changing anything will earn you a permanent ban for sure.

Don't listen to people saying that using a save file is cheating, that's 100% false.

You can't put in a save file from another person, that'll get ya banned. If you lost your progress and have put in a previous version of your save file, you're all good.
