Why is this game called "Dead By Daylight"?
This, I mean, if somebody is dead on the game, it has to be by a killer, so is "Daylight" a killer or...?

Because you can't die? Or because it's never daylight in the entity's realm?

Probably because the Entity's Realm is in an eternal state of Twilight/Dawn.

But this has no sense, they are telling you that somebody is dead BY daylight, Daylight killed someone.

No? XD

Your confusion seems to come from a bad understanding of the english language I'd say. "by" refers to a temporal context in this case.
I could also say something like "I'll see you by next monday" which would mean that the two of us will meet on monday.

No. "By" can also mean "before". For example, "I have to be at work by 12:00 PM." Same goes for Dead BY Daylight.

Oooooh I see, I didn't know, thank you for the explanation! That would make more sense then.

I always just figured whoever came up with it was inspired by "Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn" :steamhappy:

My theory is they wanted to just call it that 5 slash symbol, but needed a proper name and took the phrase "Dead By Dawn" from Evil Dead.
