I had a LOP hence the high number of BP ... and derank since I played perkless for 2 weeks xD
I prestiged her to P3-MAX with all these fresh BP and managed to get 40+ IH too ... haha
Yes, because you can dodge hatchets.
New killers are added for a reason. To get survivors to change the way they play.
Trapper's Diamond - requires you to screw up - not him hit you. Your own fault.
Hill BIlly's Chainsaw gives you a HUGE notification - he has to _TOUCH_ you not throw something from across the map. The control on the chainsaw is difficult and you can juke even on the basement stairs - hatchet throwing is fairly straightforward and the lag tends to give you a much larger hit box.
Myers one shot requires he BUILD IT UP. Even his Perma E3 addon requires he do it for an insanely long period of time.
Devour Hope requires you do several things to get this perk to activate and it can be shut down because it is a Hex Totem.
Her addon is literally _the most powerful_ in the game.
They're supposed to be the least-used add-on of all the Huntress add-ons.
In reality, since they're the only ultra rare add-on for the Huntress, they show up on blood webs far more often than they 'should'. Add We're Gonna Live Forever, extra bloodpoints events, the novelty of the new killer, and you've got a recipe for a lot of Irridescent Heads, quickly.
In regards to direct balancing, they allow insta-downing with hatchets, at the cost of having two hatchets fewer to work with.
Given how easy hatchets are to dodge, you can force a Huntress to use up her 3 hatchets and either continue a chase without any hatchets, or refill hatchets at a locker sooner. Either way, as a survivor, both of those situations are highly advantageous.
The trick is dodging the hatchets. Which is easier said than done. But having to dodge two less hatchets makes it much easier.
Alternatively, you can loop a Huntress around high walls, regardless of whether or not there is a window or pallet there to use, and she will not be able to hit you with a hatchet throw thanks to her movement speed not allowing her to make any decent progress towards you with a hatchet drawn. This forces the Huntress to swing at you with her main weapon, giving you distance on her to be able to use to juke her/avoid her hatchet throws.
In other words, the add-on is weak because of the inherent weaknesses of the Huntress herself.
Thus, this forces the Huntress to hit bloodlust 3 to try and hit you with her hatchet throws, which takes about 45 seconds counting practicality, and then it's a game of dodging a hatchet point-blank, which can be accomplished by crouching, 360'ing, feinting, and so on and so forth.
If you're injured in this scenario, an insta-down is irrelevant to you, anyways.
How's that sound for Irridescent Head balance?
It doesn't sound balanced.
Her 2nd addon is +2 hatchets.
Now she is back at 5.
Please refer to my post above if you want an explanation of how to beat the Irridescent Head.
Once again. Survivors should never be able to use the same tactics universally across the board for all killers.
Huntress requires stealth and hiding. If I can duck and avoid them and use my eyes and ears and listen for the DIRECTIONAL HUMMIMG WHICH IS A DEAD GIVEAWAY anyone can.
The only tactic you have is to hide and stay near buildings or lose LOS in the cornfield if you're lucky enough to get that map.
Most Huntress will 4K with that addon with ease. It is why it is a lame addon. It doesn't make a game. It is as bad as 4 BNP by a 4man SWF.
Yes you can dodge them, whatever you want, but you have only one counter for IH.
Every other one shot hit in the game has at least three counters, like I said.
I am ok with change the way survivors have to play, but what does it has to do whit it?
It is just a lame addon. It ruins a match. It shouldn't exist.
That's your opinion.
So, she ran a very rare and ultra rare add-on, and you expect the game to be a cakewalk?
5-blink Nurse, insta-Rev/NASCAR/bump/turning Hillbilly, Irridescent King/HSE Doctor, and so on and so forth.
Do you expect the match to be easy when you run across those?
It's the same scenario as I mentioned before, just with 2 more hatchets to kill. Kill them, and you'll be fine. Plenty of ways to do that.
