What is the benefit of prestige?
I can prestige my first Killer, but for the life of me do not understand why I would want to reset my character. I was under the impression that bloodwebs infinitely respawned at P3, but apparently, it continuously respawns after level 50. Also, I read that if you reset a character, all teachable perks cannot be used unless you learn that perk for that character.

Am I missing something?

You can decide if prestige or not.
Prestige rewards you with bloody clothing and better chances to find good things on bloodweb.
And no; when you unlock a teachable you keep it. No matter if you prestige the character that own that perk.

Also note that making all 3 prestiges takes a lot of time. If this is the only killer you levelled dont do it

+1 Items that let everyone know that you've played quite a bit of whoever you prestiged with.
+2 You have better chances of finding better stuff in your bloodwebs.

One last thing: when you make all 3 prestiege youre chances of finding good items is "considerably"
increased(because fot every prestige is slitghtly more so slightly+slightly= moderately and moderately+slightly=considerably

Pieces of bloody items for you to wear + better odds of finding rarer items in the bloodweb. You do lose ALL of your perks and you'll just have to hope RNG gives you the perks you want back on the bloodweb. I'd suggest using all your best addons for the killer first so you can save up a good amount of BP then prestige so you can at least lvl em back up a bit.

Then I guess that it makes more sense to get the teachables for everyone and then prestige.

Being badass by unlocking an prestige 3 icon next to your character.

And make survivors fear by insta dcing from your match

I'm not gonna lie, seeing a P3 version of any killer immediently makes me think that we are all in for a hard time that match.

Specially Legacy prestige killers.

Fear ... again its the same as seeing a survivor With legacy prestige cosmetics and wearing a charity pack cosmetic.

But ... a few ones love to use Full Legacy Prestige set to show true dominance in the match

Do you get even better items on the reward if you go from Level 1 to Level 2, and from Level 2 to Level 3? Or are the rarity of rewards you are going to get once you level up the first time going to be the same?

If you just prestige once, you won't notice a big difference in quality of the bloodweb.

I prestiged my killer after I got refunded for my loss of progress, so I jumped from Lvl50 to P3 in one go and I noticed a better quality in stuff.

But without the big refund, I am not sure if I would go through that grind to be honest.

You get different cosmetics. For killers are weapon, head, body etc and for survivors is torso, legs and P3 is head(which means if someone has only bloody face and normal clothes, they are P3 because they have unlocked the clothes first). The items are slighlty better,it doesnt even make a difference.
