Dead by Daylight

Statistiche:
Killers, why are you afraid of Twitch streamers?
So I've seen some people playing killer do this as well as people actually say this in chat, you outright refuse to play with people streaming or even simply refuse outright if they are wearing the shirt. Why? In terms of skill/personality, they could be like literally ANY other player in this game for all you know. It's kind of rich that some of you want the game to be made to feel scarier yet you're taking this approach.

PS: I am NOT saying every killer does this. Some streamers play killer too xD

I don't care if someone is a streamer or not. Most of the time, though, streamers are incredibly toxic. I played against this one guy who 360ed the whole game with his purple flashlight. His thing is that he liked to "disconnect" and his viewers urged him to do it. Of course, this guy disconnected after walking into two traps and he was about to be hooked a third time.

There are some streamers, however, that are awesome and are good sports. Hybrid Panda comes to mind. However, they are few and far between. I have even had games as a survivor where another survivor was a streamer and instead of unhooking me they sat at the hook and teabagged me. These are the type of people who ruin it for everyone. There is a certain frustrated dog streamer who used to love to do the jungle gyms and teabag the killer while he was doing it. These people are the reason why you get people either dodging or bringing tryhard addons and offerings. Blame them.

It's complicated.

For instance, I love Angrypug. I've met few people as nice as he is, IRL.

But I don't play him anymore. I'm just not. It's a personal choice. He gets it. No big deal.

Wait what's your twitch name? No creep or anything but I used to be subbed to half the big dbd strimmers before I quit (including angrypug) and never saw someone by the name moriarty.

I don't stream DBD, never have. This is why I don't "advertise" who I am, cause I don't need toxic people from DBD trying to ruin my community.
I've had some bad experiences with streamers so I'm more likely to avoid them nowadays. Not a 100% guarantee but it's highly likely.

They've tended to be overly aggressive, going out of their way to get my attention for some pallet looping fun. Apparently their audience finds that compelling entertainment?
Or they're just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I'd rather not have some schmuck badmouthing me to a whole buncha people. I get enough hate mail as it is.

Had one instance as survivor where one streamer was coordinating with either another streamer or a fan in game like they do in SWF. All the while insulting me despite them being dead and me carrying the team. They even read out the killer's perks after they died. How their audience didn't take issue with that I'll never know.

I've had some matches with some respectful streamers too, even started watching one regularly after playing against them, but I'd say they're in the minority.

Streamers like to think they can have whatever they want because they are so entitled to it. The only streamer i don't like at all is SXYHXY. He is so arrogant and acts like such a fool, in general i personally tunnel them just to show that you have no power in my lobby. Just because you sit in front of a computer for some X amount of hours does not mean i should respect you. You're not cool and you're not helping society in anyway. Sorry not Sorry.

I mean it's their job. They've gotta entertain in any way they can to make $$$. Also try being a streamer for a month it's not easy

Nah, it's not the money. But you are right about the entertainment factor.

I think this game itself is just so half baked it brings out the worst in people.
Most of the streamers I've played against have given me negative experiences, and when you check out their streams after the game , look at the vods and chat, they're frequently very BM and ♥♥♥♥-talk to their chat. They also use the killer's Steam names frequently, ie "who's this plutori guy, what a bad killer." Etc.

Shoutout to Sarciss though, he's been a cool streamer survivor to me.

I suspect alot of the reason is because if they lose they are losing to a larger audience. However when I face them I break out all my nasty addons and moris and tunnel the crap out of the streamer. Which if he is a good player will give him an intersting match in which he can either juke me or eventually get caught by me. This makes his stream more interesting than a generator simulator plus if they are a bad player or just super toxic I can remove them from the game as fast as possible.
Of all the streamers I've played against, there's only 1 that wasn't toxic about losing the match due to NOED. I don't dodge streamers but I generally have low expectation for them as well.
Entertainment for the masses means making fun of the killer or "outplaying" him (loooooops) so that the killer 1. seems dumb/unskilled in front of the audience 2. has little to no fun himself and feels worthless (fun is always subjective tho, a masochist would definetely love it). You can entertain people by making mistakes yourself, but most of them are too arrogant/entitled to do so.

I mostly don't dodge/camp/tunnel streamers unless it's my only tactical possibility. I can understand killers who do this.
Generally it's for bad behaviors...Even me as survivor sometimes i left a lobby when i saw a streamer i don't like...Or i stay but i don't go to help him if he get caught after his trolling...
not afraid. they are just annoying af cause they think they have to troll the killer and behave like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to entertain the viewers...not all there are several really good streamer like true, sxyhxy etc but usually streamer with "twitch" in their name behave like idiots
1st They are usually the most cheesy ones.
2nd Too much drama when you do something the twitcher thinks was "unfair".
More often than not I find they play incredibly obnoxiously in an attempt to impress their viewers.
Intentionally using cheesey tactics in an attempt to "let's see if we can make this killer rage quit."

And if you do kill them. You will be bombarded with harrassment on your profile/people adding you because their viewers are just as toxic as they are.
Streamer games are more special and i try harder to defeat the survivors
