1 hit down hatchets?!
Wow ive seen it all now. What next? Give killers an uzi 9mm? Just faced that for the first time and it was about as fun as taking a real life hatchet to the face. Please tell me theres a down side to it? Because it just felt like the usual hatchets.

Have you gone to low-quality baiting now or what?

How is this not something that needs to be said? First they made mori and BNP insanely OP. Then they did a good nerf on mori, didnt go far enough on bnp.

MM has infinite tier 3, but it comes at a high price. A lot of stalking.

Billy has super fast chainsaw and that always felt OP but not enough to warrant a post. Its sort of ok. I absolutely owned with it as billy and got my ass kicked by it. Hmm.

Trapper has death traps. Theyre ver strong but at the end of the day, just watch where you walk. Traps always feel pretty skill based so no problem.

Whatever hag has, i know i hate it.

Nurse, i guess would be the ability to see where her blinks go. Hard to know when its being used. A good nurse doesnt even need it.

Wraiths add ons can make him beastly. But he still suffers from palletloophobia. And cant handle bright lights. And makes up for vanilla being so weak.

Not sure about the doc. But i can tell you one thing. He doesnt have anything on the same kind of level as instant down hatchets.

So either her add on requires a nerf. Or everyone else (except billy) needs a nerf. OR... its simply not balanced.

Hag has the "Mint Rag". It's insanely OP. It's also bugged. It's supposed to allow you to teleport to any trap on the map, but with a 16sec cooldown after each teleport. And it does exactly that... whether the trap's been triggered or not. Place a trap, down a survivor, and try to pick him up? You teleport to the trap instead. Try and break a pallet? Teleport to the trap instead. And there's no range limitation, so you might try and pick up a survivor with three others nearby and suddenly find yourself on the other side of the map. Basically it means you can't place traps for the entire game. I've reported it as a bug repeatedly, but the devs ask me for video, and I don't have that. :(

Wraith suffers from PalletCircleOPhobia, but so do 5/7ths of the other killers. He's got the best way of dealing with pallet trolls in the game, apart from a swift axe to the face from the Huntress. Of course, like so much else the Wraith can do, it requires an expensive add-on and perk. I'm looking forward so much to the Wraith changes, and I really hope the devs "get" that the problem is how dependant on add-ons like Windstorm and All-Seeing, and perks like Enduring and BS, he is.

There's been many, many threads about the iridescent axehead; it's something that's already been brought up. I've survived against it but it's really difficult. The only downside is that you can carry three axes instead of five, and that is fixed by another rare add-on.

Run left and right? Works for me.

I have no problem dodging insta down hatchets, as I went against a few huntresses who had it myself.

I am however having trouble preventing survivors from installing BNP's while I'm chasing somebody as the killer, yet every survivor main thinks BNP's are balanced.

Think you're the first to bring this up?
Darkheart Aug 24, 2017 @ 12:58pm
yes there is a down side you can only carry 3 hatchets and befor you complain most killers and the survivors have strong addons.
Lamb Sauce Aug 24, 2017 @ 12:58pm
At the end of the day, they are still hatchets. Projectiles you can actually dodge and require a bit of skill to land. And before you say "but the killer just walks up to me and throws a hatchet at point blank range", yes, that's a thing; Hillbilly can do the same, and he's been able to do it since release. In fact, he's way better at it and gets as many tries as he wants to have since he doesn't have to refill his supply. Plus, he doesn't need an addon to do that.

As for the downside, total hatchet number is reduced by 2, so the killer only has 3 hatchets to work with before he has to search a locker.

Ahhh ok! See less axes is a half decent downside. But the one i faced had atleast 5 hatchets. No doubt from the other add on. I appreciate maybe these are rare. But like the old moris and bnps, its just not that fun to play against. My team got destroyed. Its not like billy where atleast pallets and windows can save you. Plus billy has to physically move. This huntress - i didnt think she could get any tougher to face. But that was just mad. She could camp slugs so well. One guy got instantly downed again as soon as he got up.

You know... i would enjoy the challenge a lot more in swf. Thats the kind of OP add on that would help neutralise swf advantage. Maybe they should consider giving killers free top tier add ons in swf games. And buff some of the other killer add ons to the same level.

when agaisnt the huntress you have to change your playstyle around windows and pallets they will wait for you to go for them because its a garanteed hit. most survivors i go up against who are good at dodging will just run past the pallet unstead of trying to drop it or fake out a window jump and go other after the hatchet throw.

No way! This was tougher than billy. All you need to do is get to a window or pallet. You can do that while looking forward. Theres enough of an audiocue that hes revving up. But with her you have to try to dodge while looping/running for window or pallet - and once there, going through a window or dropping a pallet is the fastest way to die vs huntress. Im not sure what the answer is.

Quite simply you need to not get seen. But once youre in a chase, even if shes only averaged skilled... you will be hit by a hatchet. Atleast once. You can run from doc and wraith and mm all day long. But not huntress.

I suppose make her miss is your only hope.

Yes absolutely right. But... what do you do when huntress knows that and knows she has one hit htchets. She only needs to run at you, fake you out by starting to throw and cancelling, getting closer and closer. With no windows or pallets, theres no way to gain ground on her.

My idea for a more suitable downside would be significantly longer wind up time. 30-50% more to make dropping pallets just about viable. Make her waste tinkerer to get it down. (Though bizarrely i seem to recall it affects the restock time at lockers instead).
