I can't update your game

Its not the first time, the last three updates i have that problem.
I must now delet your game, and reinstall it. Please fix this problem.

How is it supposedly not installing? I've never had issues with updates installing. Could be steam-client wise as well if anything.

Game requires around 14GB of free space, regardless patch size. Maybe you don't have enough?

It has to pre-allocate before updating, if you don't wait it won't update, or if you don't have enough space for all of that. The game has never had a problem updating for me, and I've never seen that issue on the forums.

Yeah, it just shows no progress for sometimes as it's pre-allocating the files.

That's normal because the progression for updating isn't the same as pre-allocating the files needed. Think of it like almost re-installing the game every patch to verify all files before updating. So you need to let it do it's thing and then it'll update. If you have a slow connection it'll take longer. It takes a good time to update even small patches because of that, however it does help keep people from changing files. Even myself with really good internet have to wait for it.

Yea, the game needs 15GB but not the Update, so he say i have not enough. /bug

mine downloads fine but then it always does something after where it uses alot of disc but no network for about 30 minutes. This is every update no matter how big or small.

I have to wait like 5-10 minutes sometimes for the first part, then like 30 seconds for the update download, then have to wait another like 10 minutes after for it to install everything. So just be patient and it should update no problem.

It's a small update, so it's not a big deal, just re-start when you can.

That's when it installs the update, and I believe it installs some files from the pre-allocation part, this is why it takes a good bit after downloading.

I'm not talking about how much space game needs. Every single update needs to allocate about 14GB space in addition to what game already took. Doesn't matter if it is 5MB or 5GB update, you need at least 14GB on your drive.

Because that's how it works. This game doesn't just install the update, it checks your files and essentially does a whole file integrity check every time it updates. This is the pre-allocation portion setting aside all the files it needs to check, then downloads the update, then installs the update. It basically copies all of your files to make a duplicate before updating the game, then overwrites the old files with it. This keeps you from changing your icons, and other files in the game that the game will then change back once it updates. If you don't like it, don't update. It's not a bug, it's a way of updating the game.
