Rules to not be hated in DbD.

Survivor's rules:
1) Don't gen rush! Stop repairing gens when someone is on the hook and try to help him. Only exception is for hard camping or facecamping!

2)Don't bodyblock the killer to prevent a hook! They earned it after being smarter in a chase! Use flashlights/pallets instead and be smarter than the killer!^^

3)Don't pallet loop all the time! You can easily escape the killer in other ways!

4)Don't swarm for the save! if you see someone going there before you, stay hidden somewhere and wait for healing him/her. If someone get downed near the hooked survivor is their fault and thus being hooked! If this happens go for the save, after the other guy gets picked. Another guy will provide help to the other one or if not, fully heal the saved survivor and then go and repeat.(only exception---->facecamping, yep!)

5)Don't t-bag the killer! They have feelings, like you! Don't be the monster, fight the monster! (of course t-bag facecampers, all the times! ;-D )

6)When the gates are powered leave or search the hatch. Don't take the game hostage, since you have proven that your skills are better than the killer ones, so be respectful to the killer, aswell.

Killer's rules:
1) Don't camp all the time! Go patrol some gens, instead, to make pressure. Better for them and for you aswell! (Oh and did I mention facecamp is bad?! Yes? Go on!)

2)Don't tunnel a survivor to the death, unless is the only one you have found! Go for the other one who helped him, instead. If he/she has been bad to you( bodyblocking, pallet looping, etc.) go for revenge, but only in this case. Prove you are better than these scrubs.^^

3)NEVER FACECAMP!!! is the most ridicolous, noob and hate-worthy way to be hated! More than killer bodyblocking, since you can put down the survivor and chase them instead! Who facecamp has to be banned and hated forever!

General rules:
1) Say always "gg" after a match, even if you played like a noob.

2)Don't ragequit! Is a childish move and I blame myself to have done it before. :'-(

3) As killer, don't lobby-dodge! Finding a match as survivor is not as easy and if you play with friends is even worst!

4)If you play with friends, try not to use voice-coms or chat during the game! Use your skill instead. There is a reason if the devs didn't add it to the game!

5) When someone insults you, try to say the right thing and not an insult straight ahead! Demonstrate you are better than them, being nice in the first place.

6)When you know you have done some bad actions as camping/facecamping or pallet-looping, try to apologize if the killer or the survivors insult you for that, with a rightful motivation. Remember that the calm is the most important weapon. :-)

7)Remember that you can't always win! Be respectful in victory and defeat!

Final Rule: Try to be nice, respectful and stay always calm, even in the forums. You'll see that being nice will only bring an happy end to a conversation. Sadly there will be ,most of the times, a mean person and lots of salt in the postgame chat, but think positive and stay safe in the fog!^^

This is a game. People will be salty no matter what you do. You cannot please everyone. You bought a game to have fun, play it the way you want to. If you find yourself getting pissed off and raging then maybe you should take a break.

Ill be perfectly honest here, I actually do take some joy from certain survivors whining post game.
In a horror movie typically they make the teens as hateable as possible, at least the ones Ive watched. I really feel like a horror movie monster.

That being said, I have a wierd and probably unhealthy satisfaction when I feel that Ive brought karma to these specific players.

Most tactics are fine in my book: body blocking, trying to break line of sight using pallets and windows, trying to distract me, gen rushing etc.. Its the ones who like to swarm hook and whine claiming that Im somehow camping when they run literally right in front of me.
The ones who never run because they feel safe near pallets, the ones who are really arrogant and have no tact to their pursuit. Thankfully the game punishes these players hard ever since all the pallet and window nerfs, so nowadays the 9/10 I can catch these players.
Cheaters are a whole other level of hell though, Ive only ever encountered 2 (for certain) but they drive me up the wall. I could care less but I just feel like they are wasting everyone's time.
Whats the point of beating someone online if you are cheating? There isnt any lasting satisfaction and I know so there is no point to me being upset, just dissapointed.


I honestly find most players I play against to be enjoyable and well mannered but the ones that arent really stand out and generally piss off everyone.

If I see someone going for a save I keep repairing a generator.

I don't really camp , but some call me camper just because I didn't pretend to not see any scratch marks.

I won't wait till they end the game to say gg, unless I died last or escaped.

For me these are rules that i will break with love.
No one tells me how to play.
This game is survive or be killed.
Not having a tea party with the kille.and farm easy points.

But, when you are in my game: i will never hunt the oe who was rescued when i see the one who rescued the person. I will everytime hunt the one, who saved him.
