Alrights, let's get real about Jackals / Huntress for a second.
So, since the last thread got miraculously deleted, containing neither flaming nor any other transgressions, i would like to open one that will be as civil as possible. There is currently a thread where this is discussed, but it has a different topic, so i wanted to make a dedicated one.

So, let's look at the similarities between "Jackals" - a horror movie coming out September 1st and the new killer "Huntress".

1. Weapon of choice & Clothing. It is a hatches / an axe. The clothes are also very similar to the woman in the middle.

"Jackals" poster: http://www.gstatic.com/tv/thumb/movieposters/14298210/p14298210_p_v7_aa.jpg
"Huntress" shape:

2. Masks. Both movies contain white masks that cover the upper part of the face, very simple and with depictions of cutesy animals.

"Huntress": https://image.prntscr.com/image/kiJ3rl2dQN6LiQBzRybaIQ.png

3. Keyword "Mother". Jackals is about a gang of psychos trying to take away a baby from it's mother and murder the family in the progress. The Entity exploits tortured and broken people who turned into killers in desperate situations or just lost their mind. A mother defending her child from a gang of psychos fits the profile. Especially since it seems to be the classic type of horror-flick, where the "Final Girl" turns into a killing machine by the end.

4. The time of release. The movie is released about 1 month after this killer is released. About the time people need to learn how to play her and spread her image via twitch & youtube streaming. The word of mouth will be excellent promotion.

As most of us know - the hatched was in the game files for a LONG time. And of all the times it could have been released, they do so one month before the movie with very similar killers comes out?

5. The location. Both - the new map and the location in the movie is a house in the middle of the woods.

So, here are the 5 major similarities. Everybody who says "No, its totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" - please come up with anything better than "cuz devs said so".

Thank you for the constructive addition. Now, how about an actual argument? You adressed only the masks.

I dressed only the mask because you said this...

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the cospiracy or whatever you say is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...

Since the nurse has this face:
https://hydra-media.cursecdn.com/deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/8/84/IconChar_theNurse2.png?version=54952f4db4b2c641b507d8326a75f006

doesn't mean she's this:
http://pm1.narvii.com/6394/24a9b9f9a2f0cf0ebe6231326d6d24ee8e4d45ec_hq.jpg

(Both are in an Hospital and both suffer, uless they do their work!)
So this means that the Nurse is a reference to Doctor who? Yep...
The new Doctor Who is a woman too and a lot of people are saying ''Nurse who'' instaed of ''Doctor who'' So obviously now is confirmed

Erm.. I don't know, but if you want to argue against something there's something called "civil manner", you know.

Murf mentioned more than one arguement. Murf explained what the movie was about and that the new killer has the nickname mother. If you read through Murfs original post, you might as well take note of the fact that the movie is about a mother that tries to defend her baby from a gang of psychopathic killers.

I'm not going to say it is inspired by the movie, but I understand your reasoning for assuming this, Murf.

One counter-arguement I do have though. There have been several movies, comics, mangas and books with some female killers wearing a bunny mask and wielding a axe. My assumption is that they took the original concept for the Trapper and redesigned it to the Huntress. If you take a look at the original concept of the Trapper, his weapon logically speaking would have been a throwing one.

The Huntress throws axes. So yeah.

Irony isn't your best eh? It was obvious that I was exaggerating!

The movie talks about a gang that wants to kidnap a kid... the key word of the movie is Kidnap... not Mother...

A forest is a normal scenario like the city for example...

You look like a F13 dev trying to slow down Last Year LMAO.
On LY there was a killer with a mask (that we dont even know if it was from hockey)
and they filled a lawsuit by it.
They can look like eachother. A N D ? it dosnt matter LOL.

Because irony is so easy to read if it's written in text compared to a voice that is ironically speaking.

I know that the movie is about that, but Murf was mentioning the fact that a mother tries to protect her child. Dead by Daylights keyword is mother.

If you read my counter arguement, you would have seen that I mentioned a female killer with a bunny mask isn't that rare, that's why I didn't touch the forest, because a forest is used as a element for horror typically.

I just said that I understand Murfs reasoning for the assumption they have. Not that I agree with it, because there have been similar looking killers in the past and my assumption is that they just redesigned the original Trapper concept which had a bunny mask.

I am not saying that the singular things are out of the ordinary - i am saying that their combination is. Following Occam's Razor, the 5 points together point us to the one most logical conclusion.
Spit On That Thang Jul 25, 2017 @ 11:50am
I'm getting more of a guillermo del toro "Mama" mixed with You're Next animal masked killers from her. Because: (movie spoilers) -- Mama saves the girls from their Dad, and then adopts them like Huntress takes young girls captive to fulfill some motherly urge inside her. Also like Mama, she ends up killing her captive "daughters".

Yeah, about a week ago there was a thread comparing the two.

I already expected the fact that the new killer was the old Trapper... It was a bit obvious that they used a similiar power!
