The Nurse on the Swamp Map
As soon as I load into the swamp map I usually instant leave. Since it's double BP I thought why not give it a try! I never actually gave it a go with the nurse before because I would always instant leave because of how unbalanced the map is in the first place.
This is unacceptable... just watch this:

How can the devs release a map in a state like this? I gave up playing for the rest of the game, I really can't be bothered to play it in this state.

well, thanks for reminding me why I instant leave this map and giving me another reason to do so!
Every new map doesn't seem to be tested, with the Asylum there was tons of infinites, with haddonfield, even more infinites, the nurse was also unplayable there. Now the newest swamp map is unplayable for the nurse because of lack of testing, clearly.
It's a bad map and poorly designed map in the first place considering how big it is and how easy it is too lose killers, not to mention the built in fog.

Map has not been playtested with Nurse.

See survivors. This is how a nurse feels

Seen players do rather well as a Nurse on that map, they still pipped and atleast they gave it their all, took 1 survivor out. I'm not saying it isn't bugged, but to throw your toy because you don't like it, won't change a thing besides earning you less points.
I don't see why I have to play such an unfair match, which is no fun at all. That's why I usually instant DC.

map is complete crap, and earning less points apples? LOL! u earn more points but instant leaving that game and joining another one, you get no points on that map unless u get lucky and find a survivor instantly

Yea I loaded into that map with Nurse (never tried her before on that map) and after a few minutes I just afk'd.

I wasn't going to deny the survivors their points/pip since none of them burned an offering for it and so it's not their fault.

But I didn't want to play at all. I thought it sucked as Trapper, that was nothing. At least trapper can get lucky and has an alarm system he can use.

Nurse on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is impossible. you cant blink 60% of the map since the landmark is so buggy and if you try to blink on the big boat you just keep going up and down..

nurse doesnt have a speed advantage apples, if she cant blink cause of buggy map theirs no hope for her to catch up to any survivor, and the fact survivors can hide? yep, they basically become invisible if they set foot in the built in mist or if they go into the swamp grass, not to mention the map is huge and impossible to get move around the map (even as the hillbilly) it is so dumb. and those track marks, yep, u can hardly see them again if u run into the swamp grass, u really dont know much about this map do u apples, u havent even reached rank 10 killer, ur max rank as killer is either 18/17, shows how much u know about how killers see things

unfair? in what way? that survivors can actually hide? its what they have to do you know. As a survivor you could say it isn't fair that we can't run around with a gun and a hacksaw, disable the killer and cut off his head.
How are they supposed to balance the game when some maps are fairer for both survivors and killers and some maps are blatantly harder for killers? The swamp has built in fog, it is MUCH larger than other maps, it has a lot more places to hide than other maps.

I admit it's not an easy map as a killer, it does require you to use your head rather than the fact you have a speed advantage and a large weapon, oh and those blatant track marks.
A Speed advantage and a large weapon. Put well into use when chasing pallet loopers, yes.
Blatant track marks? Yep it's really easily to read the scratch marks on the Swamp, following survivors is dead easy! No.. survivors can EASILY loose killers once hit for instance in a chase, they can also use the tracks to confuse the killer. Finding a survivor in the first place is hard unless they want boldness points, then they'll let you find them until they've got max.

But i've had teams wiped out on that map a few times, usually it's because the other 2 players decide to commit suicide to rescue a guy from a camper, but i have seen it happen in different scenarios too.
Yeah this map really does promote camping.

From what I have seen from Nurse game play on that map, the reeds appear to be counted as a solid object. This leads to you being unable to Blink into a patch of reeds, so you are forced to Blink through it all or near it.
WelshTomz Jan 12, 2017 @ 6:42pm

The Nurse is the first killer to have a different run speed and lunge-attack range. She's slower than the survivor's running speed, and her lunge is notably short.
This came from: http://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Nurse

so stop telling me that the nurse if faster than the survivors because she simply isnt.

and guess what, the reason why u dont blink and catch up to survivors is because ur a rank 18 killer who plays against bot survivors who dont have a clue what their doing, congrats!

I've been a Nurse and caught upto a survivor without blinking, it isn't hard unless they run in circles around walls, then you blink.

The Nurse can outrun a survivor, i've done it and i've seen it done. Rank doesn't say everything ;)

Yeah, map sucks for nurse. Couple in the reeds and different level changes, it really is poor to play. The blinks are simply broken on this map.

I hate Haddonfield and Swamp equally, but for some reason, I always tend to get at least 1+ kill 90% of the time.
Pepsidot Jan 12, 2017 @ 6:49pm
Survivors can literally keep running around the rocks I was at when recording and the Nurse wouldn't be able to catch them because she can't blink (*her blinks do nothing*)... all they would have to do is keep running around!

I think that is to do with the Survivors having smaller collision boxes compared to the Killer. Meaning the Killer has a slightly longer path when going around objects and with the Nurse moving at the same speed as a sprinting Survivor, they can gain some ground.

I run an AMD GPU on low settings to limit lag. Currently that map will crash AMDs on low settings.

So I'll drop the game immediately.

Unless I want to take a break, then I'll just move to the nearest exit, go afk and give the survivors a chance to score some points and get out.
