How to make PWYF viable.
Back in the old days when you could get 3 tokens and down the survivor without spending a token PWYF was insanley good. You could quickly get your 3 tokens and move on without having to commit to a stupidly long chase. Now however it's not worth the investment.

For those of you who don't know what i'm talking about or just want a refresher, PWYF or Play With Your Food works like this:

You become Obsessed with one survivor.
Every time you lose your Obsession in a chase PWYF gains 1 token.

1st Token: 3/%4/%/5% boost to movement speed.
2nd Token: 8%/9%/10% boost to movement speed.
3d Token: 13%/14%/15% boost to movement speed.
Every offensive action spends 1 token. [Every click of m1 or every chainsaw sprint spends a token whether you hit a survivor or not].

So at tier 3 with all 3 tokens, your slightly slower then a cloaked Wraith. But then the devs decended upon PWYF and smited it with nerfs most evile, and now there is a long cooldown when you gain a token, and a short cooldown when you swing.

This combined with the fact that you must first find the Obsession to be able to use it, which anyone who's used Dying Light can attest is completley random at best and takes up 4 gens at worst, means that PWYF is not worth the investment to gain the tokens, or the perk slot.

So here are my suggestions to fix it:
Make it so that only attacks that actually hit your target spend tokens.
Hits against your Obsession don't spend any tokens.
With every tier of PWYF the cooldown for gaining tokens is reduced.

But:
If your Obsession is sacrificed you lose all tokens/2 tokens/1 token.
Interupts [Grabbing survivors out of animations] Spend a token unless the survior is your Obsession.

This would PWYF a viable perk to use IMO.

That's the current statistic for PWYF when you get all 3 tokens at tier 3.....

With the difference that you'll never get that far with more than 0 gens left.

I'd remove the token system entirely for a flat speed bonus (let the devs decide on a good number). When you put your obsession into an injured state with an attack, the perk activates for a specified amount of time (again let the devs decide how long). If your obsession goes into a dying or hooked state, the perk deactivates.
1.Let all survivor give you tokens as long as your obsession is alive.
2.If hillbilly or MM one-shot somebody it spends all tokens otherwise 1 attack whether its a whiff or hit spends 1 token.

No other changes needed.

Okay, let me take another approach on your idea. My point is that perks that grant bonus movement speed are very powerful (Sprint Burst says hello). No matter what you do, it will either get buffed into people start using it cause it's too good to not use it, or nerf it and almost nobody uses it.

Your change will make PWYF somewhat useful, but not to a point where people would use it over something like Whispers, NOED, Irong Grasp ect.

If that's the case then why are you against it?
Also Iron Grasp is a really bad perk, people would easily take movement speed over it (especially if paired with Agitation).

I think it's pretty viable PWYF
