Killer Strikes button not working ?

Hey guys ever since the last patch im having a hard time to get my killer strikes to register the desired attack when using attack button weather it be a hit or a power (Chainsaw, Stalk etc.).I have to hit the button multiple times to get my killer to swing a strike so much so that it leads to embarrassing situatioins where im literally rubbing against survivors unable to hit them until they drop a barricade on me or jump through a window. it happens with a power as well i will have to press it multiple times to work?

Has anyone encountered this before? I have switched out my mice and even changed the buttons for strikes, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the game but nothing seems to work. Help guys?

ive had this problem for a long time. seems like I have to mash it hard in the center on the first attempt for it to work. thought it was a mouse problem and i bought a new one which didnt help

Yeah I have 374 hours on it I have streamed it since September and just this past week this has been happening I assumed it was from the last patch. I have lowered my graphics my res everything to no avail. I also find it gets particularly bad when ur right next to a survivor

Same here. I'm about to stop playing as this is making the game "unplayable" for me (happens with survivors actions as well).

Yes Navi it does happen with survivors as well something in the patch messed it up

That's for full screen issues tho? It was working fine on windows 10 for me before the last patch?

Thanks mega I will try that tho I play a lot of unreal engine games and only have this issue with DbD

When that happens, try to restart or even close windows explorer through the task manager

I thought I was the only one and was blaming my mouse. I have to hard click M1, otherwise it won't work. Due to this I've lost plenty of attacks.

Honestly a quick fix to this is to hotkey E as the strike button it's not that hard to get use to but yeah I played 350+ hours with mouse it's weird that it doesn't work now with Windows 10
