Survive with your friends - no matches found

A friend of mine and me were playing DBD one day after Patch 1.4.0 was released, we tried via Survive with friends to find a lobby, but did not get any match together.

I have read that looking for a match via this option takes a bit longer anyway, during Version 1.3.2 (the last version) we waited about 5min to find a lobby.
But after Patch 1.4.0 we waited about half an hour just to join a lobby, where I later was kicked out right before the match has begun.
Via quickgame or even Survive with friends-solo queue we both find a match instantly, so the problem should not occur because of us.

Anyone else with this problem? Matchmaking via Survive with friends that takes an eternity (even more than before) to find a killer's lobby?

Yes, you're not the only one. Since the patch, wait time for SWF has been greater than 40 minutes. The longest we sat waiting was an hour and thirty minutes. Usually it is 30 - 40 minutes.

I have had luck changing my DL region to a popular EU region. SWF of 2,3,4 have been around a minute before we get into a game.

there are a lot of people playing For Honor at the moment. TrueTalent has abandoned DBD , since he has not played the game for at least 1 week.

same here before the match myself and another friend could get a game within 3 minutes time now no luck

There is no order to the "queue". It is a free for all out there and I know because we have waited up to forty-five minutes before all readied up, unready and re-ready and bam, right into a match. Have waited an hour. Waited and waited and waited. The international players may be more readily available but lag is their game. So there is that if you try matching thgouh other countries.

As usual though we can more less blame this on the design of the game engine having the killer host the game.

Also numbers seem to be pretty low since the patch. Usually we will see between 15k-20k players, since this patch everytime I loook it is like 7k. Prolly mostly China and other countries.
Which I do not get, because I really like this patch

The matchmaking algorithm is a bit messed up, it prioritizes solo players way too heavily.

Try what murf said, apparently Toronto or London are good regions for this game.

Yeah, I tend to match more quickly(relatively) on Totonto vs Dallas, but get every overseas player comin up with potato ISP service. Again, it is only realatively faster as well. You still gonna be waiting.

Waited literally an hour in US-Dallas last night (even when 1 person left and there were only 2 of us and we still couldn't find anything!) before we just gave up and played overwatch, anything is better than that.

If you are waiting longer than 5 minutes...even longer than 2 minutes, I would recreate the lobby.

This has been a complete nightmare for my friend and I as well. Since the new patch (1.4.0), we've been waiting 15 - 20 min + for a lobby whereas if you go in solo it loads within 30 seconds or less. It's a great game but it is very frustrating when you spend more time in the lobby simulator than trying to survive!
