Ah thanks, just checked the wiki, it's probably that addon which shows aura of everything tracked by map. That's why it showed both the gen and survivor running away. I've never seen this before and literally thought something like Halo was happening.

its not the aura. what you see there is just a marker. you make them by pressing space when using the map.
if i use it, i mostly show where i'm working on a gen, the open exit, the hatch or such things

The "Pillars of Light" as you call them or markers, are created by the Glass Bead addon. The one you are talking about, which reveals tracked auras to all Survivors, is the Crystal Bead addon.
