Edit: They talked about it today. The 8th of June 2017. We did it, guys. They added me and DeadlyVanitas and I linked them to this thread and we did it. They figured out the issue! They will fix it. <3

I have had enough of this. I took a break from DBD after the newest patch, because as a survivor I had no fun for several reasons and after 1.5. the FOV of the killer just got worse.

I know they acknowledged this issue, but it is a known issue since 1.4., but they haven't even offered any sort of solution yet. Using Shadowborn as a trade isn't the solution. The FOV Shadowborn offers you is almost similar to the old FOV, just a bit wider...

The original community report was like this:

1. Stable 1.5. It's out.
2. Stable DLC. It's out.
Then community issues and one of the first things were FOV of the Killer and scratchmark bug. Neither of them have been mentioned ever again. The FOV bug can be "abused" by survivors. Due to the restricted FOV they can run into you and use it to disorientate the killer. You can't see them unless you look down.


This has been a known issue for a long time and it is a quite a big issue, so I don't really understand how this isn't on your top priority list of bug fixes.


Edit: edoMtsaeB just reminded me of my main concern with this issue. The bugged scratchmarks and the moved FOV ain't the best combination, you know. Especially on Coldwind Farm. By no means I could call myself a great killer, decent at least, but it is tiring and a issue.

A tad? It got pushed forward twice. Once they moved engines and after 1.5. it was pushed forward again. Let me list issues:

- You can be blinded from the side even though you thought you didn't see anyone. If it's "properly" done, you won't even see the flash before you're blinded. You can't move away in time to avoid the flashight.
- Survivors can run into you and use this to get away. You need to turn around completely to see where they went and if they do it smart, they will turn with you, almost inside of you. One thing I noticed: If you're not directly looking at them, you can't hit them, even if they're right in front of you.
- Misjudge of the lunge. When 1.5. rolled out, a lot of people noticed a difference in lunges. At first, it was believed they shadownerfed the lunge, but they didn't. Due to the camera angle being pushed forward twice, the survivor seems much closer than they actually are.
I quote sturmwolf: "This camera issue is the reason some killer complain about "shorter lunges", but it is not the lunge that is shorter, it's just the camera that is further out."
- This also leads to misjudging the distance between you and a pallet, even though I did notice a increase of the area to stun the killer.
- This also causes window jumps to be misjudged and cause the killer to miss a hit.
- The left side is a complete blind spot and the weapon blocks your vision more than it did before.
- With the scratchmark bug going on, a match can turn out pretty badly, because the scratchmarks go nuts and if a survivor runs in a certain direction, you're ♥♥♥♥ed.
- I do have issues with my eyesight. I get headaches and migraine easily. Since the camera was moved even more, the window seems so small which causes me to focus much more on the screen. This isn't really working out. I have to strain my eyes much more than I did before 1.4. I never had these issues before 1.4. when I started to play killer.
- And DeadlyVanitas point: Motion sickness started for some killers after 1.4. rolled out.

This should be a priority fix. There are so many issues with this the FOV bug. Yes, I will call it a bug, whether you like it or not. It happened after they moved engines. They didn't intend it, according to them. They also said it's a bug!

This and the scratchmark bug needs to be fixed.

Why did we male a QA post anyway. I don't get the mods in that regard. Next week they will make a new instead of taking this one. Than it is open for like over 100 questions to be made and from that 20 are answered hopefully. I remember the days when they answered every question. If not all got answered in one stream the list continued to the next one.

Not anything about a fix a think. Only thing regarding killers fov is the locking inside lockers fix

As much as new cosmetic dlc for survivors but the supposed voting for killer cosmetics is still not talked about
