I will make a note of it and ask Arvydas if he can add this in. It might be quite a simple addition but will see if it can be implemented. May be able to come back to you on this later today.
All the best,
Chris
I really hope you can add this.
NOTICE: Importing these registry keys may not work on different Windows OS versions. Using / editing the registry is for advanced users. Take caution.
Thank you!!! Looks like it worked! :)
I was forced to do a clean reinstall of Windows. i had my user folders setup elsewhere (Documents, Music, etc). I don't backup the registry for a clean reinstall.
When I loaded my save file, I was prompted for a shoppe name, which I ignored. All my furniture, and inventory items were present, but everything else in the game assumes this is a brand new shoppe.
The fact my items, and furniture are there, suggests the presence of a physical save file, either in the game's install folder, or the Documents folder.
My suggestion to devs would be to move ALL of the shoppe info into the shoppe's save file, instead of splitting it between the registry, and the save file. If any of it is global to some kind of user profile, just make a new file for that, and store it in the same place.
It really doesn't make any sense to save this information in the registry, because reinstalling Windows is often a recommended troubleshooting step. This is especially true in cases of registry corruption.
hope this helps someone! :)
