Best shop simulator in a long time
Let me start by saying no I haven't played EVERY shop simulator ever. It's just my opinion that this game is very well crafted even in Early Access and i can't wait to see the full release. This game reminds me of Recettear: An Item Shop Tale, without the whole fighting monsters for items deal. If you liked Recettear I would 100% reccomend picking up this game. This game has already given me 4 hours of fun and I'm sure there are many more to come.

Im loving recettear atm, credit goes to the shoppe keep community otherwise i would never had found it, got other games im playing, any other shop sim games you know of (not casual ones pls cause i know theres tons of those casual time management sims) after ones that are pretty detailed, and require alot of management (eg. 15 years ago i played Capitalism 1 and 2, and still play it today) Im enjoying Shoppe Keep and hopefully as it gets more developed it becomes great game of this genre. Bought FantasyTavern will try that game later cheers:)

The only other one I can think of that you haven't already mentioned is Legend of Item Shop on Android.

That sounds like a fun game RandomDude, and wow Chris I gotta say I did not expect a response from the developer. Props to you for keeping in touch with your community. I hope to see this game as a featured game on steam in the future I think it has a lot of potential. I can't wait to see what else you add to the game. Question though, do you think you'll add mod support and steam workshop to the game? I'd love to see that

Chris is very active in the Steam forum. I think he reponds to everyone lol (poor guy!)

Haha I feel bad for him. But still props to him, not many developers will take time out of their day to respond to the consumer

Yeah I wonder how long it will take before he's had enough?

I am the producer of shoppe keep, the actual developer Arvydas is working really hard coding. But I will feed him back all info and we plan the future of the game together. I am just as excited as everyone else who is coming into this game so I want it to be a success... I am very tired! But I endeavour to reply to as many posts as I can. Success relies so much on customer feedback and we need your help to do this :)

Thanks guys!

I agree, I really enjoy and love this game. I also loved Reccetear, running a RPG style shop is an untapped genre.

Glad to see more games of this type, because we usually get the really bad casual/facebook style games. You know the customer orders something, then you make it and then give it to them with a time limit.

Kairosoft games on ios and android offer similiar style gameplay, but in different themes, like sushi store, game store, clothing store.

I have holy potatoes, played that first day of release, its a bit different but a little fun, hopefully merchant comes to PC, Fantasy Tavern after playing for hours last night was interesting seems like you go adventuring doing quests, then buy up all the addons and expansions, feed your patrons and buy up your rivals taverns etc.. it seems like it requires you to buy add on DLCs later on in the game (1.99USD each) but its $1.99 to buy atm and maybe worth a look.

So it seems theres not too many non-casual shop development/management games out there, im glad I bought a 3DS then, the japanese have great management/rpg games but only recctear came to pc.

I'm playing through Recettear atm. I seem to be just managing to scrape by every week. I didn't think i'd be able to pay the 80k and now this week's is 200k. I was like lol.. ok i'd better find some really expensive items to sell then.
