WHAT HAPPENED TO SHOPPE KEEP 1 ???? WHAT IS THIS #2! 33% Off my nuts!
I bought Shoppe Keep 1 to promote the game and help developement (Great game and Idea). INSTEAD, they cut the dev off, and start working on SK2 and then ask that I pay again (Was told SK2 was free for SK1 buyers)! I see a 33% coupon in my mail box. Does it also come with a bag of ♥♥♥♥? I will never pay a dime again. Free Tip, DONT LIE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!

HI there,
I'm afraid to say this, but at no point did we ever say that we would give SK2 away for free to those who purchased SK1. We did say that there will be a discount which we have provided. With the 10% off launch discount you are getting the game for roughly 40% off. However of course many community members suggested we should give it away for free, but this would be financial suicide.

SK1 delivered on all it's promises which were made at the beginning of development. It spent a good deal of time in early access with constant updates. After leaving EA it still had updates for an entire year after full release (Check the news posts)

Yes there are issues and some bugs. But this was the developers very first game. Towards the end of development it became very clear that the game could go no further with how it was built and coded. People were asking for features we simply could not deliver with this game. However saying this, we did deliver everything we promised at the start of development and much more.

Last time I told someone "Ah this game is early access ? wont be buying it" They went on about how I am everything wrong with the industry, not wanting to support an early access game.

Reason why is because I have a few early access games that I bought full price to support the devs and they never finished them and have been abandoned for 2-4 years.

This is why ..I still buy early access games but only if I know the dev's previous works and they are very credible and trustworthy.

Totally agree. I understand its an unfinished game and early access, but they did say SK1 buyers would get SK2 for free. If the devs needed more money, just simple tell your community and post some features for them to buy. We were all fans of SK1 and now it smells like a money scam when it didnt need too.

They said you'd get SK2 for free ? and did you " I assume you didn't " ? I mean did they stick to their words or abandoned it like this project

I totally agree with the OP. This looks like a classic case of how lazy game developers end up antagonizing their entire base of potential customers, ruining it not only for themselves, but also for other Indie developers. ShopKeeppe 1 is one of the reasons I'm now much less likely to buy indie games than in the past - not because I feel I wasted my money, but because I feel cheated and humiliated.

I completely agree Paikia. I will very carefully choose which EA games to support in the future and defiently do some research ahead of time.

Reading other posts and comments, the Devs. should take a good look how their customers feel. They should release the game for FREE to SK1 buyers (Like I saw) and have their customer base become energized and excited to enjoy their game. THEN I would tell my 5 other friends to get the game(EZ Money). INSTEAD, lets just piss everyone off and make them feel cheated.

Look at the Dev. comment above. Not one apology to an upset customer and pretty much called me a lair. Guess they dont like money after all...

what a bunch of greedy pigs

I disagree with all of you.

Unless the developers somehow are preventing you from playing Shoppe Keep 1 (which I know is not the case), you are not entitled to anything. Certainly not a free copy of a new product.
trashcan 11. maj 2018 kl. 14:04
I agree 100% HellDuke.

Won't support the next one though. Maybe I'll wait until SK3 in a few months.

Cmon guys..
The developers didnt say at any point that they would give away SK2 for free for those who bought SK1...

and logically why would they? under what reason?
if you bought SK1 that doesnt mean you deserve to get SK2 for free..
they are both different games

and nothing is wrong if a develper released a sequence for their game.. indeed that amazing because i have always wshed to see this concept of games on the market but they are few that really deliver something worhtful ( in my opinion nothing is like SK)
i was afraid that the gerne would die with this games, but the devs were amazing and realeased another one..

and beside that when you bought the game, you bougt it for it-self, for enjoying the experience and SK 1 did deliever that fully,

i persinally bought the game the day it was released.. and saw it go though each chnage phase ..
and the last version they reached to is actually amazing ... it deleivers everything you expect to see in such a game , and the devs did deleiver more than what they promise when they released the game ..

In my opinoin SK1 is complete and gives more than it price
and the fact that the devs released another game is actually amaznig

And for those of you who ask to recieve SK2 for free.. think about it from this aspect
Strange Fire is a small emerging studio in the industry, which means these guys are tied on budget, every sale they get help develop the game more and help them aswell continue their amazing work and develop more games

But think of it from a business aspect, place yourself in he place of the owners.. would you risk going branktup just because some people asked for the game for free?

And Finally i hope that the community would support the devs instead of trying to push them out of business and appreciate the fact the we as their community benifit if the devs were successful
terror923 13. juni 2018 kl. 15:55
i agree with this they even posted years ago that the game was completed and that they would provide additional patches, they never abanadoned this game they only finished doing what they wanted to on it.

A sequel allows them to do a vast amount of other things that this game couldnt do via finding a different game engine.

The v1.0 update is here! Today Shoppe Keep will leave Early Access on the nine month anniversary of it being released on Steam. It’s been a tough but infinitely rewarding experience and we must thank each and every player who supported us by purchasing the game and getting involved in the community.

For us a full release means that the core gameplay mechanics and experience are done, going forward Shoppe Keep will still be receiving updates with some exciting new features and more content being added (the developers are working on new content and language options right now!), but the updates won’t be as regular as they were in the Early Access period.

We hope you enjoy the full release and as always we will be in the forums if you need any help. Happy Release day!

Dated may 20 2016 and pinned they have confirmed they finished the game even having a time stamp 2 years ago.
