I can't solve the cutscenes issues
Cutscenes keep ending earlier and cutting lines out, I tried setting the game into compatibility mode and I edited that .ini file, but I keep having this issue

Yes, that's a known bug.

The patch that I used to get the gamepad to work fixed that sync issue as well, but there's probably a patch somewhere that only fixes the audio.

Regardless, the one that does both is at http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=455805875

Well, in that case I can't really suggest anything else, since it did the job for me.

Apparently, the FAQ from the aforementioned patch says this:

After using this fix, my game only runs at 30 fps!

Yes, this game has some issues with cutscenes playing too fast and skipping dialogues, so i've enabled the syncRetrace option by default. If you want to change it go to the game installation folder (Default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BloodRayne) open the system folder, open the RENDER.INI file, and change syncRetrace=1 to syncRetrace=0.

So maybe check whether it's been set to 1, and/or google around with those keywords to see if there's anything else that people suggest.

Yeah, I checked, it's set to 1, game goes 300 FPS
I googled it and tried anything, but nothing works

I was having the same issue, with the dialog in the cutscenes cutting out before the lines were finished being spoken. I had to go into Nvidia Inspector, and set these 3 settings, for it to play out as it was supposed to.

Thank you! It does work now, the game action feels a lot clunkier at 30 fps though

developers need to quit selling half a$$ games on steam, I finally got around to playing this myself, the skipping & repeating scenes. I tried editing, but nothing works....smfh

How do you even use Nvidia Inspector? I installed it and it always crashes when I open it.

The version I have, doesn't have an installer. You just extract it to a folder, and run it. Be sure to give it administrator privilege. Doesn't work with AMD (obviously). They have their own tools for settings like that.

Setting the syncRetrace value from 0 to 1 in the RENDER.ini seems to have resolved the speed issues for me. Thanks, Darth. :)

Worked for me too, problem solved.
so this game cannot be playued at 60fps at all?

It seems so, since logic is tied to FPS

It has been some time since i played this but i'm pretty sure that the version sold on GOG doesn't have this problem when running it with 60 fps. This cutscene bug was the reason i bought it from there because playing game like this with 30fps lock is just... not worth playing imo.

The GOG version probably has some patch or tweaks that the Steam one doesn't have.

Been following many suggested fixes, and just short of going to GOG, absolutley nothing has worked to fix the cutscene bug.
