(i played this game a lot years ago outside of steam when i had a pc wich wasn't able to run the kind of games i like)
Playing this game about 7-8 years now, and will not stop any soon, although i could play plenty of other games :)
Yes, but doesnt playing the same over and over again get boring? Games like Fortnite or CS:GO get updates to keep the game fresh..
You just need to find the right guys to play with it, I met over the 7 - 8 years some great guys from several clans, from various mods . I'm still in contact with some of them and play togehter, whenever we find time. Even when i playing it alone, its not boring, since there is a lot of various mods and stuff u can do. But i can understand these guys, who says the game isn't for them or just plainly boring or whatsoever. Its not a game for everyone.
indeed its also open source and people are still creating new mods for this game
Besides that, there *is* new content
DDNet releases a new map every few days as does KoG, and between the both of them there are like what, nearly two thousand maps? I have played for 1.5 years now and I've only beaten like a third of those and I've never even tried to do good runs
And as others have said, the skill cap is very high, while still being super fun even as a casual drop-in game.
