Teeworlds

How is this game so popular...?
I like Teeworlds, i've already played it on another account, and its a fun game. But i dont get how many people play Teeworlds till this day and say that its the "best game ever". I mean, there is no new content and its (most of the time) the same gameplay. Can someone explain this to me how people can play this game for so long? xD

i don't even like this kind of games, but this one is perfect, no disctracting stuff like leveling/achivements/false objectives and no unbalanced stuff, no need to sing up on anything, realy light, and the no updates is also a plus, no risk of introducing bugs or unblanced stuff, just enjoy the game as it is

(i played this game a lot years ago outside of steam when i had a pc wich wasn't able to run the kind of games i like)

Cause its one of those games which require's still pure skill(no skill cap) and its not blindly stuffed with unnecessary stuff and features, and hope it will be alright "games", which no one needs...
Playing this game about 7-8 years now, and will not stop any soon, although i could play plenty of other games :)

Yes, but doesnt playing the same over and over again get boring? Games like Fortnite or CS:GO get updates to keep the game fresh..

You just need to find the right guys to play with it, I met over the 7 - 8 years some great guys from several clans, from various mods . I'm still in contact with some of them and play togehter, whenever we find time. Even when i playing it alone, its not boring, since there is a lot of various mods and stuff u can do. But i can understand these guys, who says the game isn't for them or just plainly boring or whatsoever. Its not a game for everyone.

https://ddnet.tw/ mod is the answer, it allows 64 player servers and its a cooperative gamemode instead of pvp, it's hard to get into at first, but when you get more skill and there is when you enjoy lot more this game.

The core gameplay has such a high skill cap that you can easily play it for years and you'll always get better

Besides that, there *is* new content

DDNet releases a new map every few days as does KoG, and between the both of them there are like what, nearly two thousand maps? I have played for 1.5 years now and I've only beaten like a third of those and I've never even tried to do good runs

The weapons are perfectly balanced, and as well as default modes, there are tonnes of modified servers including parkour and what is IMO the best infection gamemode anywhere.

And as others have said, the skill cap is very high, while still being super fun even as a casual drop-in game.
