I hope that you are having fun.
I enjoy the game quite a bit at the moment, but having to randomly mash my keyboard keys, hoping to find the right one is really really frustrating!
With all due respect - if it has been released on Steam as one of the first platforms, it should be taken into considerations that a lot of people will use mouse and keyboard.
Other than that - good job. So glad we could get KS to work out!
Try a Logitech Controller... I've spent 2 hours trying to find some way to map the controls to the game to no avail.
Which tells me that this issue has still not been addressed. Thanks :)
I haven't touched the game since my post, as some parts have became unpassable for me, due to the neglect of keyboard indicators. I don't even remember where - but it tells me to assign something to something and for the life of me, I cannot figure out the key.
Hopefully this will be fixed at some point - or it'll regrettably be a game that will remain unfinished on my Steam shelf.
Finally good news. This is great! Thanks. I'll finally be able to play - and I had the game since day one, due to Kickstarter.
https://blogs.unity3d.com/2016/04/12/developing-the-new-input-system-together-with-you/
right now I think the only way to know if a user use a controller or not is to "read" the first input (the user press Enter you know that you need to show him/her m&k button, the user press "Start" you know that you need to show him/her controller button... or you can always show both).
Anyway I played the whole game with mouse&keyboard, it is not easy to remember everything at first, but:
- the tutorial help (since in the tutorial they also say what are the input for mouse&keyboard).
- after a while you get used to it
I'm still really glad they are working to fix it. This is a great game, it deserve any update to make it even better.
Sorry about the necro.
