How to save a game?

I wonder how to save a position in the game. When I select "Load game" I have three slots occupied but have no idea how they were created. I would like to save a game (in a new slot with name) at specific locations. Is there a shortcut for this?

I think you can only choose save file when you start a new game or when you save at the tower base, the little bed.

Otherwise the saves are auto saved whenever you enter an area

there's autosaves that cycle slots...and once you get inside the tower there is a blanket and pillow behind a column on the first floor where you can manually save and talk to Ergo.

Too bad. I would like to save before/after a (many times repeated) scene to replay or to show others cool enemies.

you can make multiple manual saves...just from that one spot...and the only enemies that don't respawn are the bosses...which you can reach quickly through the hub-room in the tower (forget the name...it has doors that link to the mid-way point in each dungeon, as well as the only way to reach the final boss.)

You can save game in the Acane Hub (First room that you get to when you finish the tutorial. The one where Eliani is. ) Behind the left sort of sunburst looking panel as you face the stairs is a place to rest. If you activate that using the right bumper (360) a menu will pop up allow you to save your game there and you will have access to all the slots to choose which to save to..
