I understand it's not ideal.
The game is designed to be a length where it's quite doable in a single sitting (an hour or two at most).
Figuring out how to save all your dialog choices and then "fast-forward" through them to get to where you left off is possible, but incredibly complicated due to the way the game is written.
At this point, it's something that would be a wishlist feature if it's possible, but I'll add it my list of things to look at once more critical issues (crashes etc) are settled.
It should be very quick to add a message before the intro.
I'll add it in the next release.
