Because that is how the game works. They give us level 80 gear, and we have to fish minus 1 drag setting, so that it takes forever to land a fish and if it was no higher than level 80 you would not have to grind forever, or buy the map pack, to go there.

Seasoned players didn't bust our guts grinding out level 80 for the next map update to be level 50.

I don't know how many people realize just how HUGE of an update this is, it is like an entire new game added unto what is already a very deep and long game. Not to mention that the Devs are working from a country under attack by a terrible neighbor. Mad respect! Hope all you and your loved are and will be safe!
