You can hire the small boat for credits, so people who don't want to spend money can fish with 1 friend, but to use the big one you will have to buy the DLC.

Maps have been continually nerfed for as long as I can remember. If you have fished The Congo for any length of time surely you have noticed that the fish are smaller, they bite less, and most of them don't get hooked. This applies to most maps. Add to this the fact that you can no longer use max drag, even with gear meant to be used together as a balanced outfit, fishing with more than one bottom rod is no longer an option because while you fight one fish the others escape or spool you.

Yes maps get downgraded in multiple steps and the final usually comes after new map released, like what happened to Maku Maku, when Marron came about, then Marron when Amazon got released then Amazon when Congo appeared. Congo was great at the start just like Amazon was in the beginning, but now I don't go to Amazon it's just waste of time for me. Actually I haven't been to Congo either since catcher in the corn event.

Soon after they brought out the Legion Comps 2 long term friends, who wwew our Club leaders, became a cry babies and booted everyone from the club and their FL. Since the game has become nothing more than a boring grind I have not played since. Once I finally get to level 85 I'll check out the new map but how long I keep playing for will depend on what it is like. Since you can only rent the small boat, because the big one is DLC, and the fish seem to pay peanuts I don't expect it will be for long. Check the pics below and the Walleye is not even a Trophy.

Only if you are the proud owners of the sleek Tsurihito™ Volans™ Fishing Yacht, you'll have the luxury to fish there on June 5th and the rest of the FP community will have to endure the grind to a level requirement. Just wonder what's the rental price would be for that boat. Or is fishing there will cover travel, rental, license and daily fees...?

Just for information. Die u read all the Dev diaries you would know that the new map is at lvl 83 and the new max Level is 90.

In the interview, link in an earlier comment, DEV said 85, possibly 90. which I assume will be the new cap. In another interview he mentions that the map level will be 83.

You can rent the open boat, which I believe is only for 2 people, but the big one is DLC only. If squid are anything to go by the fish rewards are a joke. Check the 2 pics below and the Walleye is not even a Trophy.

Yes I've seen them, you showed me few days ago. Anyway since I'm not planning on becoming the proud owner of Volans, so I'm just theorizing what fishing with rental would be like... I never rented boats in this game, but I did check prices on rentals and never liked it the way it's done, anytime you would forward the day the rent is due...
