I have been fishing for over 60 years in real life and use the same reels in fresh and salt water. You simply have to rinse the reels in fresh water after using them and I have never been asked in a store do I intend to use the reel in salt or fresh water when I go to buy a new one.
Here is the official Diawa web page and after checking several reels, of different types, I did not see "salt or fresh water" mentioned anywhere.
