Bait Fishing Freshwater Drum?

Logically, drum would bite on shrimp as they do IRL. People in game are telling me they'll bite on shrimp as well. When I try fishing the same spots I lure fish for them with shrimp, I get nothing, not even a bite.

Do the drum actually bite on shrimp or not?

I think I found the problem. I tried more last night in a different spot and caught a lot on shrimp. I'm thinking that max depth on the leader is still too shallow in some spots like near the boat in MI.

go to the place right of the insailing place(cant remember name) and move left on beach, and just throw bait out on the right side of the boat there.. that where i catch 14kg+ uni freshwater drums

Yeah I've caught a few unis there now by the boat. not sure what was going on back then but its been much better lately

Yeah ignore my ealier post about red worms, it was a Baked post regarding just a lucky run.

Not Regarding uni Drum but Drum in general (now landed near 300 of them)

Drum in missouri will Readily Take in order of Best to Worst.

1a, Possibly Fresh crayfish
(Not unlocked yet - The one Americans seem to call Crawfish)
(Possibly best for UNI Drum as Bigger than shrimp but the same thing more or less All Crustaceans)

1b, Shrimp (Trophy Drum love this and you will catch a few Trophy bass in missouri and Bowfin)

2, Natural Eggs (Drum in missouri only thing seem to eat this but decent amount of Trophies)

3, Night Crawlers (Will get many bass and a few Trophy Drum)

4, Wax Worms (not the best as many other eat this also)

5, Maggots (not the best as many other eat this also)

6, Red Worms (not the best as many other eat this also)

Again this is just general info for drum that i have discovored

it is still possible to get a freshwater drum with spinners/spoons and so on? i dont get anything

So that answers one of my drum questions. Where can I catch them in Missouri. I'm sorry if I'm just kinda hitching a ride here.
