There are two spots I know of that have them. One is at the bridge. From the spawn point, go upstream until you're about 10-20 yards downstream of the bridge. Throw straight out all the way across the pool. The other is at the dock where the boat launch is. Standing on the left side of the dock, cast out at about a 45 degree angle to the left. I forget how far out the spot is, but when you start getting trophies, you'll know it's the right place.
Try the x-series 4/0 single spoon, or a 4" or 6" rubber worm (purple, glow, and acid yellow are best) on a 4/0 jighead. The 3/0 night/holo narrow spoons (red one I think) also work. You have to be working your lure just off the bottom for them to pick up. They favor straight retrieve on reel speed 2, or bouncing off the bottom on reel speed 1. They'll sometimes follow your lure almost to your rod tip before they hit, so keep fishing it all the way in.
Their bite rate is pretty low, so be prepared to make hundreds of casts to get one. They have a tendency to run directly at you once they're hooked and I lost a few to low line tension before I finally landed one.
