Game crashes in loading screen

after I press play and the game starts loading it crashes :/

try to reinstall steam, i have same issue with loading. And now it's working well.

I have the same issue. pop up box comes up and says this program has stopped working. so i should just exit out of that box?

guys guys!!! i found a fix!! GO to windows update through control panel, update everything that is there apart from the silly language packs. Also i did update kb2685813 & kb2685811. If you type these into google you can download and install these through the microsoft website. after this my game ran perfectly at highest settings. Id just like to not that this is done with no help from the developers whom i have been emailing. Not very good support there.

Can you explain this a little further? cant understand it at all and seems to be the only fix.

Im on windows 7 so.... Control panel > System&security > Windows Update - click check for updates, and update everything that is available.

Then also google kb2685813 (this is a windows update version number) or go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2685813 and download this package as it does not come along with windows update.

And do the same for kb2685811 or go to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2685811.
these two fixes dont seem to auto update with windows.

I've had the game crash numerous times. I sent my output_log file to the developers. They say they're working on it.

Emailing them has been useless. They keep telling you to disable AV or other things that have no effect. Glad this game is free... I'd be pissed if I payed for it.

My game played just fine til this last update, now I get to the Play button, press it and it spins a min then tells Me it lost connection to restart the game even tho the frame rate counter is still moving...any ideas ?
